Question on TOC roster
Teams that just won the winter worlds at Ft Meyers & Vegas were able to use their 2008 roster meaning that a 55 team could play someone that will not turn 55 untill 08. Will these younger players be able to in TOC in Feb 08. Our team like all the others qualified with none of these players on our roster

HEY JOHNBOB AS FOR AS I UNDERSTAND U MUST PLAY WITH THE ROSTER U QUALIFIED WITH...IF SOMEONE MAY BE INJURED OR CAN'T MAKE IT U CAN ONLY DRAW FROM THE NEXT AGE GROUP..AND SUBMIT HIS HER NAME TO THE SSUSA NATL OFFICE FOR ACCEPTANCE.....DOKER

John Bob,

It may seem unfair, but the players that played on the winning teams in Ft Meyers and Vegas in 2007 are allowed to play in the TOC in 2008, even though they were too young to play in any other 2007 tournament. The losers in Ft Meyers and Vegas are NOT allowed to bring their younger players to the TOC, even if they played in in Ft Meyers and Vegas..

Thanks Sisavic for info 10-4 on unfair, but if that's the rule I guess we'll have to live with it. This is only the 2rd year for TOC it's take time to work out wrinkles. I would like to see the World Championships in Sept,Toc in Oct then Winter Nationals in Nov. Just my 2 cents

John, I sorta like the ToC as the first tournament as it starts the year early, and in our case, we would not have made the ToC as well qualified by winning a winter national!

JohnBob- Pretty sure you have to bring the roster you won with, even if it's a 2008 roster from the Winter nationals or worlds. And I think if you won two times, you can't mix and match those rosters, t has to be one or the other.

I like the idea that the ToC is for the 2007 winners, but don't know how good an idea it is to use the timeline you mentioned. It's still very hot here in Arizona in September and I think the Worlds are going to be in Phoenix for the next couple of years. I also know how lucky we are here to be playing all year round and not having to shut down for the winter. Good luck if you're going to the ToC.

DesertGuy,We are going to TOC but being from Ky have never played ball in Feb. To me it's not a level playing field if some teams can use there 08 roster and the other's can't . I know it's hot in Az in Sept but softball is suspose to be played in hot weather, how are we to get prepared to play in Feb? We do enjoy playing in Phoenix & was unable to attend this year but plan on coming in 08
