LAS VEGAS SENIOR MASTER MODIFY DATES FOR 2008!
I just received in my inbox a memo forwarded to me from Jimmy Downs of Joeseppi's 70's Major out of Tacoma, WA that shows the Las Vegas Masters having the 50s/55/60s Major and Major Plus playing the last weekend in August this year do to fields being refurbished.

Paste in this link to my website page and find the information sent to me regarding Las Vegas Masters 2008 Tournament for all division's play dates.

I'm thinking an early arrival into the losers bracket is not where you want to be.

Would that be August 29, 30 and 31? That's the same weekend as the ASA Nationals in Burlington.

There's no wonder that some tournaments can't get many teams to participate! You would think they would check other associations before they schedule a tournament.

BRUCE U GA. PEACH: I no longer belong to LVSSA. But, here r some facts.

1) Seniors r not well liked in Vegas
2) NSA, is relpac" ASA, in Vegas.
3) 2 yrs ago, NSA, (Marty) lost it's butt in Vegas 4 that World. Marty, does NOT give a crap about Seniors. NSA, will NOT give up their fields. This also, comes several NSA Vegas Umps... Politics or just to h..... w/ Seniors..

Maybe, some of u Seniors, can talk to Hugh.

4) Freedom & Lorinzi, will be down 4 2 yrs.
5) Desert Breeze, has been made into lil' brads baseball. The parents, will NOT give the fields up to Seniors. De.... to those Cal, sob busters that have moved to Vegas from Cal. The county commisioner, 4 that area, does NOT care about Seniors. THAT's the Vegas politics in actions.

6) There r just NOT enough fields, open @ that time of yr.
7) Do to the diff' kinds of grass, YES, grass, the 1st of Sept, is the time of yr that Clark County, reseeds their parks.
8) and a few more reason or childish actions.

GOOD LUCK.... The STONEMAN............THE TRUTH & this post may get me 86ed.....

Stoneman, I'm a little slow...our team was hoping to go back to Vegas for the LVSSA now that they have changed tournament directors; however, it sounds like whatever fields we will be stuck with will be sub-par. Is that what it looks like for the tournament and also the SSUSA Winter Worlds?

Your opinion is greatly appreciated. Also, how about you, Hank (sjhoops)? Any comments?

Vegas has always been non favorable (friendly, obligating) to the seniors using the ball parks. But they do like the money we generate while there.
If Freedom and Lorinzi are down it will sure put a squeeze on the others that are there. Those two park have always need more attention, perhaps they will get it.

Hank, Boaz Export Crating plans to be at Reno. Although we did not do that well there, it is a good early season test of how we stand and an opportunity to take a look at the stud teams from the West!

We also are planning to go to the SPA, SSUSA, LVSSA and USSSA (Panama City!) at this time.

Arroyo is the best complex in the area in my opinion 4 great fields lots of parking and good places to eat very close. Hank they might not let you on Russell the one field with the screen in left ain't going to contain you. Russell has well kept fields also

Anybody mention that this new weekend is Labor Day! It could be a little more expensive then! No need to start the tournament on Friday with a holiday on Monday. They probably will though, to spread things out and make it a REAL expensive weekend.
