Sorry, I don't know about any of the 50+ AAA teams. We are playing 55+ AAA and will play Storm and Monkey Joe's Big Nut Co. on Friday. We will be playing at Valley View Park. Where will you be playing?

The Computer Solutions are a good bunch of guys. Any of the thirteen teams could win this tournament on their given day. As you know with any tourn., to win you need the skill along with some luck.Good balls and umpires would help too. We are looking forward to play some of the new teams with the possibility of making new friends. The last time some of us played against the Indiana Classics, was down in Panama City. Good bunch of class act guys, also. All have a safe trip to Manassas and see ya on the playing fields. Good luck. Larry - Silver Legends.

BruceinGa-I'll be interested to hear how the balls are for this tournament. We, the Houston Texans 55 Major +, played there in June and the balls used were the Worth Gold Dot socks.

As you may have read, there were a NUMBER of complaints about these balls from some of the older guys (and younger guys, too!).

RB Thomas told some of the guys on the team that won the 55 Major + after the tournament that they would use these 250 dozen balls until they were gone.

Based on that, our team decided not to return to defend our 2003 championship. Now, I'm hearing the balls may be changed to something better. Well, they got us out of the tournament.

Hope everyone has a safe tournament and good luck to all.

We used Dudley White Thunders, marked 44/375 and rf80. They were much better than the Worth Gold Dots. In our five games I saw maybe 10 hrs hit. The fields looked like they were 310 with a 9 foot fence at Valley View and 310 at Fairmont.

BruceinGa-Glad RB changed to a decent ball. With the larger field dimensions (310 feet?), I would not expect that many homers by a bunch of old guys anyway!

hey doublel, you did not miss much. we countrywide in the 55 + major hit a whopping 7 hr's in 5 games with one of those an inside the park. we got 1 new ball per game and if it was fould off it went to the ollld balls. we all could have played in the aa or aaa division. see you in texas where we can hit some good balls and a bunch of home runs.

I spoke to Gary Richter, of Thermco, Sunday and he said Thermco had 7 homers in the tournament, but Eddie Berg had 5 of them. Said the ball was slightly better than what we hit in June, but not by much.
Speaking of bad balls; we (Davide and Wick of the Statesmen) are playing in Smithtown tonight (with the same socks we used in the ISF) against bohack(Sandy Denicker), Sammy, Sandy Brown and Cozzie (from the Statesmen) tonight in the league. I can't guarantee the games will be very good, but they will be loud.
See you in a couple of weeks.
