Northwest Teams - Set your schedules to include Kennewick WA, over on the dry side of the state, April 19-20 2008. We had a good time over there last year. Headquarters is providing the support and has already listed the tournament on the schedule. This will be my first time directing for SSUSA/SSWC but I promise, you won't know it!

Reply if you're going or interested, or give me a call.

Welcome aboard the SSUSA juggernaut Shane and thanks for getting us the Kennewick tourney again this year. Our Ruth 60's really need that early venue to get into shape as you know up here in the Pacific Northwest region.

Please take a look @ my NWSS (Northwest Senior Softball) website calendar I'm putting together for this 2008 season. I have a lot of holes in the schedule but I hope that you and others can provided me with input soon.

Please click on the link below to view my NWSS tournament selections calendar. Use the "Send an Important Message to bashbro1) link to send me more info.

Hi Shane and Bash. Great to see this one back. Had a good time last year and for those of us in the frozen tundra of eastern WA, this will be a much needed "rust buster". I will try to organize a 50's team from the Spokane League to attend.

I will be playing on a 60's team (to be determined) and always look forward to playing some of the best 60's competetion in the country.

Have numerous bites, no sure commits yet for Kennewick except Second Wind. If your team is considering, probable or sure thing, please add a post. Will help me with planning and may help other teams decide. Hoping for 20 teams please!

Jim Sherman will co-direct.

I intend to include our first SSUSA Rec division, 4-6 teams, Kennewick, Walla Walla, Spokane, Olympia? $255 plus $35 team registration, no player registration required. No crossover to classified tournament. Still working on details and will have SSUSA post when determined.

Note the first annual SSUSA Rec Tournament on the tournament schedule in May, in Vegas baby!

Also working on host hotel(s) in Kennewick.

Average high temp in Kennewick in April? Sounds good at 66!

Hit the gap - I will be contacting teams around the state to bring some rec teams to Kennewick. Senior teams from around the state(s) that have not/do not play classified (AA or above) will play in their own division(s) at a lower rate with fewer requirements, and with the best organization - SSUSA! I've already acquired some contact info in the Spokane area and will be making calls there soon. Don't know your name so you may be one of them!

Any suggestions? Any assistance will be much appreciated. I look forward to meeting you in the Tri-Cities!

Correction to my Feb 4 post on this thread. Rec teams do not pay $35 registration. Tournament Director pays $15 per team fee for rec teams. Comes out of their entry fee. Total cost to enter the rec tournament $255!

Hi Shane. I am on the Board of Directors for Spokane Sr. softball and will get the word out over here. We are still digging out from the huge snow fall this year so it may be too early for most teams but I think there my be 2 that are interested.

Please e-mail me at fltaylor88@yahoo.com and I will give you my phone #. If you have a tourney flier, please sent it.

I spoke with Bill Ruth a few weeks ago and we are very interested in getting more teams from this area involved with SSUSA.

Thanks
