Sorry guys, I just found out. There is a gag order for now. I guess it is really a big deal and I did not understand that part. The factory guy I can talk about when he gives me the green light. Again I am sorry for posting what I should not have.

Believe me when I say the "tester" knows ahead of time if he may say anything or not.

Hey...AZBaller... following a bit of research it appears that all your comments (such as they are) are continually taking shots at individuals who simply are trying to have a conversation on this board. There are enough problems going around today without individuals just looking to dump on someone's comments. Either provide a constructive comment, increase the medication or lighten up!

Hey Baller,
We've come along way in the last big chunk of time
towards being deservedly respectful to one another.
You could start by telling us who you are.
Accountability is the basis of respect.
As/if you care about the person you are being critical of, yourself
or the rest of us
let us know who you are
or find a more appropriate place to play.
Dave?
Is that you?

Dbax.
Of all the Daves in the world
why would you think I was talking about you?

Regardless, it's not about punishment.
It's about respect.
It's not a negotiable thing, Dave or whomever.
Not negotiable, at all.

Well probably because I'm from Arizona, my name is Dave and I've gone down this path before with you. So which Dave were you referring to?

Hey All you Rip-it enthusiasts and fans, like me.
I just got word that Rip it has two bats they're currently testing
for Senior ball and they'll be sending out a batch soon to some
guys like me to test as to how good they really are.
I can't wait.
They already made a bat that I liked better than the Ultra or the Combat
that barely missed being certified 1.20 BPF so they know
how to make a hot bat.

Ken Van Bogaert liked it a lot when we and some other seniors
hit a bunch of monster shots with it in Seattle
as you'll be able to see for yourself when Ken's new Softball hitting DVD
comes out this summer.
Many of my teammates on the Old A's loved the yellow monster
and look forward with me to testing Rip-It's new models.

I also heard that the Yellow Senior bat is "out of production"
as it was technically out of regulation for Senior use.
It was like the Ultra 2 but felt better to me, when swung.

I'll keep you posted.

Hey Joe! It’s your buddy Bash from Seattle, WA! You indicated in your post that the “Mello Yellow” Rip-iT is out of production… and Yes! I certainly did like the performance that you and Bogie got with the Rip up here in the (206) last September during the video ‘shoot”, while you guys were hitting some balls well over 400feet in the dense Seattle air…WOW!

If there are no-mo yeller ones, then that begs the question…what are the NEW colors going to be…do you know? If they have them please send me one RED and one BLUE 28oz brand spanking’ NEW Rips and complimentary of course, with PRE/PAID shipping charges when you get some in your hands and send them to my home address.

By the by…Karen and Jill say hello to you from the “Bikini Espresso” coffee stand in downtown Kent. They want to know if you’ll be staying, when you come up again, @ the same Hotel with the hot tub and open bar?

Thanks Joe, I owe ya big time!

How's the man with the plan?
Those girls were awesome and thanks again
for providing us, all of us on the Senior Bomb Squad,
a terrific, once in a lifetime time.
I'll keep you posted on the Rip-it
as soon as I get one.

According to our spy, testing was done yesterday out at Sun Lakes field. Blacked out bats hitting with the yellow senior bat back and forth. My friend was there to water the fields and was not spotted for fear if caught he could have been shot, LOL

Bats I've seen tested were blacked out or as with the Decker Jump, it had a sticker on it. Most testers do use more than just the one being tested. Feel, performance, distance are all factors.
At least it shows progress is being made. Rip-it won't let it out unless it's just as they want it.

Bruce, are you saying senior would cheat:)
I'm a believer that if you have to swing a shaved or painted bat, get out of softball. How could someone feel good about winning by cheating.

Wagon, that’s a nice sentiment, but the truth is that if you take away the senior bats you will end up being screwed by the cheaters. Bruce is right on the money. Go on EBay and look at the bats that are available. You won’t believe it. In our local leagues, where ASA bats are used, the kids all use cheater bats, and the idiot that runs the league has her head in the sand.

The truth is that some people, who need to cheat to get ahead, will always use altered bats and sandbag the rosters to get their fabled “rings”.

There are cheaters or at least people trying to get around the rules of the game because they don't care about you or me or the rules! They care about themselves! Steroids and corked bats are a few of the examples of cheating at the highest level, major league baseball. There are teams that I'm sure we have all played against that have been penalized for using illegal bats and illegal players. Senior Softball has done their best to police this type of behavior. But to take away bats like the UII only penalizes the honest players and encourages the cheaters!

Folks:
This is a great topic and the issue is not going away. I play in the Northwest where one of the best bat doctors is located. I know so many guys who swing hot bats both young and old. I just chose to shake my head and say nothing becuse it does not mean that much to me. Am I part of the problem when I say nothing?
Thanks,
James

James G- If you know about specific guys swinging illegal bats and say nothing, you ARE part of the problem. Every player should be very firm about not allowing a player to use illegal bats on his own team and has every right to do all he can to make sure his opponent doesn't have an unfair, and unsafe, advantage. It's not always easy to be the one that speaks up, but people that do are to be admired and not shunned or ridiculed. And that doesn't even begin to talk about why someone that's been on this earth over a half a century should be cheating. Just my $0.02 worth.

We could go on with the bat altering thing forever and it would change nothing. You can't prove it unless you see it. I have seen many senior bats break and how do you even tell if they have been altered? I look foreward to this game and really don't care what everbody uses.

I believe I may owe somebody an appology. I do not condone hot bats and I comply with all the rules of Senior softball. Softball should be like golf. A game of honor.
I am not a pitcher and have respect for those who field this position.
Thank You.
James
