Good job Travelodge which smoked the Hollis team at the ToC in the 55 major plus division! Good team with excellent defense and timely hitting. We hope to see you guys several more times this year!

Did the Major Plus use the new rules, if so what are the opinions?

We played with the new pitcher's safety rule, line drive hitting the pitcher and it's a dbo.
In the rr games we could score 5 per inning and hrs were 5 1 up and a single.
In heads up play against Travelode, unlimited runs per inning 90 minute time limit and 5, 1 up and a single.

Props to Travelodge, great hitters, with much speed!

It was disappointing to play on a field where pitches for left handers were 95% blinded by the sun. Some were able to overcome this, not me. In the first game on Friday, we asked to move the game to another field without the sun problem and the umpire said "no, this will keep the scoring down."

i watched the indiana classics lose to the tucson
bandits on sunday it was an 8:30 am game and
i believe indiana was knocked out with that loss.
i think the final score was 18-9.

i would also like to congratulate doubleplay
on their winning the 50+AAA division.

they played us tough, it was alot of fun!

where else can a team from Penna play a
team from California?

i would also like to say i had a great time
playing there .

the entire event was First Class!

Bob,

Ditto on the congratulations. Great job! Tell Roger he has passed Johnny Mac's first class on scorekeeping and presenting a line-up (LOL).

Also, was great to see Vinnie and the guys from Windy City. You guys always come down and despite having put your gear in hibernation for a few months, do well.

Human Kinetics got real lucky playing Joseph Chevrolet from Ohio. Joseph Chevrolet has a great team, speed, base hitting, some power and great defence. They took us to the "if" game after beating us in the first game. They scored every inning of both games except the last inning of the "if" game. Thankfully we had a 3 run lead in the bottom of the 7th, they started with a base hit, 2 line drive outs, that could been hits and a fly ball. Yes we were lucky to win.
Human Kinetica played hard and even tho we didn't hit well all weekend we stayed in the game, great team mates.
Joseph Chevrolet, you have a excellant team with great sportmanship. I know at least 2 of there players didn't make an out against us all weekend.
Sometimes it's hard to have only one winner. See you again this year. Great job.
Congrats to all the TOC winners.

Congratulations to Doubleplay. You guys played great ball.
We enjoyed the tournament. It was well run and the umpires that we had all did an excellent job. We Frederick Cheverolet / E & E Metal Fab. Have been talking about our schedule for 2008. We are hoping to go to Phoenix or Vegas so maybe we can hook up again because we enjoyed playing you guys. So congratulations again on a great tournament to Doubleplay you guys have a heck of a team.

Just Like to say in the 50 AAA division it was an evenly matched division, all games were well played and it goes to show if you match up the best teams you get the best played games! My congrads to all the teams and to a very good Frederick's team that was a great playing against and a good buch of guy's!

I just wanted to say that I had a great time this past weekend. To all the teams in the 50's AAA Div. we Doubleplay had fun playing against you. I just wish that all of the other teams could have been there. Fredrick's team players you guy's gave us all that we could handle. I hope that we do get a chance to see you again this season. To my Doubleplay Guy's way to "Man-Up" this past weekend. Good luck to all in the 2008 season.

Who won in the 60 Major? We were disappointed that our team couldn't make it. Unfortunately, I was already in Florida waiting for the TOC to start when I got the call.

In my previous post I failed to mention that the 60 Major division was won by Human Kinetics. I get to typing and forget about somethings. Things that I would like to forget about was how bad I played. Thanks to great team mates that carried me thru the tournament.

to any of the Doubleplay 50+ AAA guys - question
did the #2 hitter in your line-up make the all-
tournament team? what a great hitter! i don't
recall him making an out!
the other thing i liked about your team is that you
had at least 17 guys there and i think all of them
played and you did'nt skip a beat.
i really like that idea.
we showed up at the TOC with 13 players and
a few got banged up along the way. so i'm
thinking in that last game, with being banged up
and tired - we just ran out of gas. perhaps if we
would have had another guy or two we could have
made it a closer game.
anyway you guys are a class act! hope to see you
guys again! i don't know how we will fair at the
major level, but we will find out soon enough!

Yes the # 2 Hitter for Doubleplay made 2 outs during the tournament . Yes, I made the All Tourney Team... Thank you for all your props.
Our team had a very good year. Half of the team that you saw is now playing on the "55" Doubleplay Team . Major Division. It's Too hard keeping up with you young guys !
The other half is Doubleplay" 50" Major Team
You guys are a very very strong team. You're right ,had you had a few more players there it could have ended differently.
Great Tournament ,
Mike Boatright #9 is the best Field Manager a team could ask for. He makes it Happen... 17 guys is alot but in this case it paid off!

Have a great season

Congradulations Double Play!! We played you guys the 2nd preliminary game in Phoenix (Mike Valerio/Pinnacle) out of Michigan. You beat us 13-12.
Wish we could have made the TOC but had to many injuries and personal problems. Let me tell you the weather in Michigan sucks right now, 10 degrees and windy!! The warm weather in Florida would have been nice. Good luck in Majors next year.

Congrats to Doubleplay on winning the 50AAA. We enjoyed playing you and all the teams las weekend. Glad our weather made the tourney so enjoyable. We don't travel so it was a great experience for us. To borrow a line, where else could a team from Fla. play teams from Indiana, Arizona, and California. And it's always a pleasure playing the fellas from Frederick's(we have played them in Ft. Myers in the past). Hope y'all had a good time here and we look forward to seeing you again.

Hey Burdman!
I'm the co-coach of the Frederick Team, you guys
always play us tough!
We enjoyed the entire experience, except for the 2nd place finish, that is! Actually I thought we played rather good for having been off since November.
Hope to run into you guys again sometime along the way!
Will you guys, by any chance, be moving to the 55 bracket anytime soon?
Hope you have a great 2008!
