The survey IMO like most surveys is slanted and next thing to useless for gleaning any relevant information. About all it is good for is to back someones slanted opinion. It might be more usefull if they were association specific instead of trying to be broad based. Big difference between senior men's ball / coed or young guys and again big difference between A$A bats and 1:20 bats ...balls also come into play.

Enviro-vac,
I'd agree. too wide spread. But being a CA based survey, I'd bet that ig had it's roots from here, Still a large sector to have asked for it however.
Balls, I think were the least item in it, however questions about pitchers, bats and injuries were numerous.
I would like to see results when tabulated and any breakdown for the questions asked. They are going to be done anyway, why not share with those who participated.

All polls and studies are slanted to the person or org that commissions them. So what is the big deal.

To me it had many questions on altred bats and pitcher safety. I think it is time for us the players not to accept cheaters and bat altering in any manner. People like Kreugs should not be hailed as a great player while his actions continue to do harm to the game.

I took this survey and it seemed to be asking the same questions we have hashed out on this board before... I agree with Eviro-Vac nothing new...Dosen't seem to ask overall questions seems to be slanted at looking for something they want to use against someone or some thing??? I have one thing more to say when Einstien want on the warpath about people having to put there name and other info on this board I will admit I was one of the people who said no.... but seeing this guy "koived" keep taking post and turning them into a slander post it makes me think if you state something be man enough to say who you are? do you play? KOIVED are you a bat Doc who has something agianst this Krueg?? Did he do a bat for you you did'nt like? Did his team beat up on yours? be a man and say who you are!! Einstien you were right! we do need to be accountable for the things we put out here!

Slander is when you say something about someone the is not true. Krugs has a msssage board in which he runs his bat altering services through. There is also proof of this so if you think it is slander sue me. It won't make it to court because there is to much proof of this guy doing this. No I have never had a bat done by him or anyone for thaty fact.No I am not a bat DR. He is not old enough to play against my team. But his bats have contributed to many teams being defrauded out of the chance to compete fairly.

Koived whats his site where he runs his bussiness? I would like to see it for myself, do you know this guy personelly or is it all hear say?... As far as I know we seniors use the best bats out there U2, COMBAT, LAUNCH! why would you need to have them juiced? So how is this guy effecting seniors which is what this board is for? and again if you stand by your statements who are you? do you even play senior ball? If you are afraid to say who you are and want to hide in this fact then I guess this is the kind of man you are!! I will take Einstiens stand and just ignore you and your posts...

Jolly,
Here's the link. http://p098.ezboard.com/bbatmutterpuckerboard

I too did not think it was a big deal in senior softball, but this year at the get together in Jacksonville Fl I happen to be sitting on the bench a few feet from Kreugs when a very well known senior player comes in the dugout and starts talking to him about the bat he just did for him. Yeah I was surprised and pissed all in the same.

It is a problem at all levels of softball and defending him is the same as defending cheating. He is a great hitter, but his actions have done nothing but harm to the SPORT.
Remember this is a sport, for fun. We all pay in some way to play and should not be cheated out of a fair competition.

And by the way at the get together there was plenty of open talk about his bats and the ones he DR's hell he even gave me his business card. How abut asking him for one of those, or maybe you already have one?

Koived, went to the site as I was curiuos dosen't seem to be anything there?? you need a password can I use yours? It dosen't matter what the subject is or was if someone is accussing someone, be man enough to stand by what you say with making it known who you are! I think everyone here or most of the players here want to know who saying things! To the SSUSA Staff time to make it mandatory for you to have a profile of who you are!!!Koived is this how you try to get a point accross making more accusations because I ask a question? So it sounds like you were his team mate? So you are to young to play senior ball? Koived hopefully nobody comes on here someday and says stuff about you and you can't even find out who it was.. I am done trying to communicate with you should have quit the first time, wasting mine & everyones time, should have treated as what it was, ramblings from a unknown ranter...

First of all I am not to young I play on a 55 major team. Who r u? Send me an email at koived@yahoo.com and I will forward you undisputed evidence of his activities in bat altering. Or do you just want to bash someone that is against it and you want to protect someone's shady backround.

Like I said, anyone that does nothing about a problem is just as responsible.

What is your complex with Kreugs .... every time you get a chance to talk you bring him into the conversation ... do you have a crush on him ??? or what ???

remember it's just softball ... I'm sure you have better things to talk about.

let it go ....

Kinda like the last Seinfeld episode, doing something to try to stop cheating is better than doing nothing at all. I didn't think it was bad in seniors until this year, of the 2 tournaments I played i have seen many suspected bats and it continues to grow. Soon many will have the attitude that you need to cheat to compete. Why not try to stop it before it gets to that point. Or has cheating just become acceptable like many of todays other problems in this country.

I for one don't cheat on my wife or taxes and will never cheat in a recreational sport. take a stand against this and bat DR's like Kreugs, why praise a person like this? Maybe some on board have bats like this?

I don't post very often and do not know any of you who posted on this particular issue but I agree with Kovied about Kreugs. There is no secret he is a doctor and it was very obvious and open at the J'ville GT this year. So Kovied is telling the truth. He is obviously passionate about the cheating issue which is everywhere particularly where ASA is still the ruling entity. Bat shaving has become the norm everywhere.
