| June 2, 2008 wyo22 Men's 70 26 posts | New fields in Sparks a question wAas asked about the new fields in Sparks. they were awesome. The best playing surface I have ever played on, and I have played on the field of dreams in Calif. It certainly is a beautiful facility and one that will be a big draw in the future for the Rock n Reno and other tournaments held there. The weather was not good for our bracket on Tues and Wed. but even after the rain the playing surface was good. We will certainly be anxious to return to play another day on these wonderful fields. I would encourage any team who did not attend this year to attend next year and experience them for yourself. Don Pierson Scrap Iron 65's Major team |
| June 2, 2008 wyo22 Men's 70 26 posts | one other question that I forgot to answer. Scrap Iron 65's won the Major division over the Calif Bald Eagles. the first game was 24 to 23 and won in the bottom of the 7th. The second was 20 to 19 and also won in the bottom of the 7th. Scrap iron was fortunate to be the home team in both games. The results would have been the opposite had they been the home team. It was a great match up and they have a very good team. They are also a great bunch of guys. Great tournament and a good time. Don P Wyo 22 |
