Al Sorenson
Last Thursday Al Sorenson lost his battle with cancer. For those of you who play in Florida I am sure you remember him well. Although I never saw him play because I am new to the Florida Fins I was told he was one hell of a player as well as a gentleman.

At his funeral he asked that his wife put out his bat, glove, ball and Fins hat for everyone to see because that is how much he loved the game of softball as well as his teammates.

If anyone is interested in contacting his family please let me know and I will locate that information for you.

Al was always one of Canada's best outfielder and had an arm second to none. A true gentleman and one of the classiest guys I ever met. He would have been awesome to see play as a 50 year old.

Al was also inducted into the SPN Hall of Honor some years ago in the player category.
