Shoulder joint replacement
Is there anyone out there that is actively playing Senior Softball that has had a throwing shoulder joint replaced? I'd like to know what to expect, and if I can continue to play softball.

Haven't had it, but did talk to a surgeon about it (he said I would need one eventually), and talked to someone who had it and a firend who's a doctor. All seemed to think that throwing overhand afterwards was pretty much out of the question. It's also a long, slow rehab -- the advice was to hold out as long as possible. (The doctor/friend did think that I could play golf after 9-12 months.)

Good luck -- I'd love to hear other folks' takes/experiences.
