Aug. 24, 2008 Buster 1 posts | 75+ TOURNAMENTS THE Antiques of Kansas CIty will have a 75+ team in 2009. We have noticed that there are not too many 75+ teams at any of the qualifing sites. We would like to start a movement where all the 75+ teams in the midwest go to one site to qualify. We would propose Omaha, since last year they were a SPA, SSUSA and NASCS site. IT sure would be nice to get 8 to 12 75+ teams at one location, We could play a round robin. Let me have your comments. Bill K |

Aug. 25, 2008 teddyb6019 Men's 75 2 posts | The idea and discussion are really good. However, the problem we have faced in the past being a 75 Major + team (Mitchell's Construction) is that only a few or one team shows up. Teams have verbally said if Mitchell's is going to be there, they will not.. I believe to help solve this problem, the associations should go back to Major, AAA, AA and drop the Major + category. Think about it, there are only a handful of teams in the country in that class. Consequently, it severely limits the number of teams for 75 Major + entry. One other point.--- there are just too many tournaments to go to. Just look at the listing for SSWC, SPA. Who needs to go to a NATIONAL tournament? With the cost of fuel, airfare, hotels, etc., many teams are backing down when it comes to traveling long distances. |
