2009 Classic Spring Training
For those seniors that have express interest to me over the last month or two, the web site is up at

www.classicspringtraining.com

and sign-ups are open. Due to limited space it will be first come, first serve. The event will be held in Jacksonville, Florida on February 20, 21 and 22, 2009.

Thanks,
curt

Please do me a favor and go back to the sign in page and re-send your information. I didn't receive your sign up form. I did get the PayPal, Thanks! My concern is that it is not working for certain browers types and I might not know when some people sign up.
Thanks,

Curt,

If I can make it this year, I want to try to do that. The Tommy Johns surgery went well and we had a good year with Scrap Iron 55's. It was good to see your brother in Tucson, AZ.

Hi Bob, bump back up. I wished I could, I met Audie in Vegas in August, what a nice gentleman. One of the real pleasures about softball is that you get to meet folks like yourself and Audie. I know Curt is Audie's brother and he sounds like another great ambassador and gentleman.

I believe there were about 30 50+ guys last year. Curt may have to verify that. There probably were 10 present that post here.
As for ages, probably 20-68, just my guess.

FredScerra: I am 60 and attended CST for the first time last year. I enjoyed every portion of CST and Curt did a great job making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. We are all just kids at heart, getting a jump on the up and coming season.

I am signed up for 2009 and looking forward to it. I am a constant student of the game and there's plenty of talent to draw from and great friends to be made. You will not regret signing up.

Thanks Curt, see you in February.

Ed, great to hear from you. Get that arm back in shape and come on down. Bruce, I think we had more than 40 guys over 50 years old last year. It dang near a grey event! LOL. The most asked question I get from people that are interested in attending is " Will I fit in or is this just for big bombers?"

I will have some big bombers there and they seem to get a lot of attention when prople talk about the event. However, they are not the norm. The typical guy/gal is an average player, some are beginners, some only play league, some play tournmanet ball. All have a great time and everybody rubs elbows with each other regardless of where they play.

The event is filling up at a record pace this year which is quite frightening from my standpoint as I hate to turn people away. If your interested check out the web page www.classicspringtraining.com If you want to talk with some guys that have been going stop by the message board at www.northfloridahitclub.proboards.com to chat.

Allen- your cousin Mark here in Jersey. I got so motivated hanging out with you last month- I started a diet exercie progam- after 18 days I've lost 7 pounds of fat and am packing on muscle-I feel great and can't wait for spring. I also bought a hittng DVD from www.bomani.com and am learning lots fo good tips to increase my power.

Someday I hope to be tracking down your "warning track" bombs in an SPA tourney.

God bless you brother.

Hey, it's good to hear from you Mark. Debra and I really enjoyed your visit and I'm glad to hear you're getting fired up for next Spring. Softball will keep you young.

You really ought to sign up for the 2009 Classic Spring Training in Jacksonville Fla.. You will not regret it. I attended last year and had a great time and got all of the BP I wanted. Go to www.classicspringtraining.com, check it out and sign up.

After you sign up, get an Ultra II, Worth Launch 10 or a Senior Combat. You're old enough now, so take advantage of it. Life is good, Softball makes it Great.

Well, just to get the competitive juices flowing and seeing how the Kitrell bunch is now going to be Major Plus here is the challenge. The senior Florida boys challenge the senior Georgia, Alabama, Carolinas, Colorado, etc, etc boys to a best 2 of 3 on Saturday!

Also, what are your thoughts on Friday going back to the prison and whipping up on some of the inmates. That was a great experience 2 years ago and we can arrange it if there is enough interest.

Pete/2x4: You’re the tight-end? Did you play that in “Broken Back Mountain”?

Hey, bashbro1 here is your Fullback for the game for sure! Here are my credentials: 5’9” tall weighing in @ a svelte 235lbs and some of it is muscle. Just send me up the middle with or without the ball. I must avenge our Washington Huskies 0-12 mark this past season for sure. I see you in Jacksonville!

Well . . . . . . I'm not sure how a football game fell right into the middle of a softball spring training but there is some good spirited needling going on on both boards.

I think Audie is going to stick the corn fed guys on the front line and hide Josh and the midget mafia behind them.

Big Daddy 77, if the web page classicspringtraining.com does not register you just call Curt at 904 303-7798 anytime and he will get you in. The more seniors the better. I'd like to see the seniors challenge the best of the young guys to a game and they use their bats and we will use ours!
