mad dog - In response to your post, we offer the following:

• Individual posts have recently been deleted for principally one of two reasons, both related to those posts being NOT relevant to "Softball Issues". They were either [1] Being directed at one or more individual poster(s) as a personal attack and/or of a disparaging nature (a multitude of those type posts removed today were yours); or [2] being repetitive 'cut and paste' posts of an irrelevant nature that are designed to intimidate and/or unduly influence Message Board policy (There were over 35 such posts deleted in the past two days, principally posted by only two individuals.)

• There are currently NO BANNED INDIVIDUALS barred from the SSUSA Message Board. [1] There was an individual temporarily banned almost a year and a half ago, but that person is currently active on the Message Board with our knowledge and consent. [2] Contrary to a couple of recent posts, reference was made to another purportedly banned individual. That is a factual error. The person mentioned voluntarily ceased posting about a year ago, but now appears to have resumed under another user name, also with our knowledge and consent.

• On September 5, 2008, we posted the following message, which bears re-publication for the benefit of the entre Message Board community:

About this message board

This message board is provided as a means for senior softball players and prospective players to communicate with each other, offer ideas and constructive suggestions for improving our organization and sport. It is not a forum for any of the following:

─ Inappropriate language
─ Disparaging comments directed toward any individual
─ Promotion for other senior softball organizations
─ Advertising for commercial products, services or websites

Any messages of this type will be removed immediately, without notice...
_________________________

Note: The second stated rule has been the principal reason that numerous individual posts and a few complete threads have been recenty deleted. Henceforth, individual posts will not be deleted, but rather the entire thread where they appear will be. Regrettably, that will also result in thoughtful comments (if any) that are on-topic also disappearing. Thank you for your cooperation.

• Lastly, revocation of posting privileges remains a viable option for repeat offenders.

Hope this helps in your understanding recent Message Board administrative actions.

That accounts for all the Trivia posts. Perhaps a trivia softball thread woukld work, Hall of Famers, and there are many assn's that have their own so that would be a challenge.
Try "remembering" them without a search eng.

Perhaps a welcome back Stoneman is in order...from the errored post I made, on your "demise from here or banning" .

No current banned individuals, ??? I guess one only has to come up with a new name and email addy. But I've been wrong before...
Oh well.
Enjoy the newborn addition Dave. They grow on ya and in some cases with you.

i have no problem with you policing the message board.and yes i have had remarks directed at me that were disparaging of nature.
when a poster has nothing to contribute but the same drivel over and over again, why can't we counter with the same.it seems this individual only has one thing on his mind and that is to disrupt any thread on here with nothing to say or add that is worth the subject on hand.its always, well why do you need this bat,or pitching rules, run rules and etc b/c we never had them before and he just keeps repeating this on and on for any thread he can get his drivel into.i for one would like to have an "ignore this member" function like softball fans has on thier board.you can put anyone you want on it and thier post will not show up to you.it can be seen by anyone who wants to see it,so you will not be banning them.it would let people like myself not have to read thru the same ol crap everytime he(or they if you chose to do more than one).
thank you .

I want to read about softball, the game. You guys out west just keep on dropping the dribble and pure garbage that a few post on a regular basis. The comments made by a few on this site, on a regular basis, makes my brain hurt.
