So any opinions on how the moveups in Jan will be received
The message board in late January ought to be interesting. I wonder how many will see their move up as a pat on the back for a job well done. I've seen opinions on the amount of power is the only criteria, to we have the power but we can't play any defense.

It is a shame few guys have the pride to want to move up and accept challenges anymore.

I've wondered this myself. Will it be based on who's on your team or our past tournament results ?

Will "Wilson's 50 or 55 " move ?

Lecak, we (Gekle) moved from 50 major to 50 major plus and although I can't speak for all my teammates I for one am extremely looking forward to it.

Hey stick how's the weather Michigan way. When you guys talk about next year schedules we are taking a serious look at Chicago in early July. I believe we will go if you guys, Coors Light, Windy City and if there are any others in the midwest attend. I'm hoping some of the farther east coast teams would look at this, with a little planning and coordination I could see 8 teams that would be an excellent turnout.

Maybe we can talk the Goodman Racing team out of WA to take a look at this also.

Lecak the weather here has been rather unusual. We had 10 inches of snow just before Christmas then on the 28th it got up to 60!! It'd been either real cold or real warm leading up to and after xmas. It's the kind of weather people get sick from. Today it's about 32 and sunny but as they say up here--"wait 5 minutes and the weather will change". I presume we'll play in Chicago--actually it's in Schaumberg--moved from Champagne. I would imagine many of the same teams that played last year in Champagne will play this one. It's a good tournament and well run.
Who you running with next year?
Hope Santa was good to you and yours and may you have a healthy and safe new year

Lecak, may i ask what the name of your team is this year? i understand you are 50 major plus and live in las vegas, however, i did not know of a major plus 50 team in nevada. please forgive me if that sounds silly as i have been gone for a while and am trying to catch up on what has evolved. Thanks !

Stick8, do you know if Schumberg has a distributer that can stock up on Coors Light fast enough if we let them know we're coming. Your going to have to sit down in the parking lot and have a little fun with us 1 time. You should have jumped right in with us in the lobby at Champaign last year. We are a good group that has fun on and off the field. I never thought i would have the fun playing and meeting all the guys from the other teams. To all the teams out there have a Happy and prosperous New Year. Stick we're with you on looking forward to playing Major Plus this year also. Lazer Larry #11 1st base Coors Light

Hey Stick Taits is coreect the team I'm playing with this year is called L.A.F. we played under the name Sofa Kings in the Vegas Winter world but none of us really thought much of the name. We played already I think we should be OK. I love the stuff on here about major plus is all about power and we can't run and we can't play any defense and we have big time sponsorship. !.) We can run, we can play D, I think some of the AA and AAA teams that I keep hearing have this immense power 13-15 balls over the fence per game would cry for us.

Rampenup not silly you are correct nothing out of Nevada I live in Vegas but the team is SoCal based, with the border rules back to where they were we can only go out of Oregon, CA, NV and AZ I do believe. There is not much info you. I saw you were going to go back to 40 ball. There is a 40 team out of Las Vegas called GO DEEP they are trying to get off the ground.

Lazer Larry any chance we could correspond to make sure that we get some teams at a couple of tournies. If so give Fran a call at SSUSA she will give you my cell number.

GO STEELERS and go AZ Cardinals great game yesterday against the Falcons damn I love the NFL.

Lecak, we haven't had our team meeting yet. But should be coming up soon. I'm sure we'll be at the midwest tourney but after that we kind of pick and choose. As soon as we have our meeting i'll post it. I agree we should all try to hit the same ones to have a decent field. Anybody know if the fields are comparible to those in Champaign. They did one hell of a job to get the Sat. and Sun. games in last year. My hats off to the ground crew. I know it's a little late, but i pullrd a hammy there and wasn't very happy. Rudy does a awsome job. Lazer over and out.

Lazer Larry sounds good. We are finalizing ours next weekend. I'm attempting to get schedules from a number of teams and maybe via email we can share them.

Ray I'm great hope the same for you. I own a Chevy trailblazer I'm doing my part. We are voting on our final schedule this coming weekend we are playing in Menifee CA coming up. On Chicago this one is one we are voting on, we will probably have this one and a backup just in case not enough of the midwest teams go. I'll shoot you an email also about some other things. The one big tourney I don't see us attending is SPA in GA, Chicago looks way more appetizing, I attended the Cardinals/Falcons game yesterday I have season tickets. I don't hold much hope going much further along with any of the other teams that won this past weekend, all the big boys enter the playoffs now.

Lazer Larry even if there is a Coors Light distributor in Schaumberg I'm not sure they'd have enough to satisfy you guys!! My fiance still talks about you guys when we were in Champagne. I think I'll take you up on the offer to have a couple with you guys next time!! Hope the holidays were good and hope the new year brings health, safety & good things to all you guys.

Joe if there is anything I've learned in my 2 seasons playing 50+ it's that a major emphasis is placed on hitting. But since all the teams at this level are good hitting teams what separates the top teams is that they will make the routine defensive plays they should make. That was our achilles heel last year and hopefully we can land the guys we need to correct that. Ray told me your new team name--LAF--life after fifty. Pretty clever name.
