Please don't feel singled out, that’s not my intention. I know that Einstein reads the threads. He gets my intent also. You're both intelligent ballplayers and can express a point without attacks.

Passion is good, leave the slams out it makes for better interpretation of your thoughts and suggestion.

Gentlemen this is 2009
All of us are impacted by economic issue. Lets figure out ways for us to continue attending competitive senior softball tournaments in all areas of the country.

This is a question to all:
How can we obtain better travel consideration to attend tourneys for the coming year? Best deals, travel fare, Hotel/motel rooms ect?

Thanks Hitt2- Appreciate your clarification, especially now that the SSUSAStaff has weighed in on the matter. Hopefully this will all stop.

On your question, I'll ask our team business guy what we do and get back to you.

Regards,

DG

hitt, you have posed a question that will be hard to answer i think.we all want to be able to go to a tourney and have enough teams in a div to be able to play.this will be hard to do with all the team scattered around the usa.the one s that will prolly make with a good number of teams will be the national and world tourney's.i see your from central cali, you could do many more with your team than we can here in tx.you have ncssa and ss-usa.most of your travel can be day type.we here in tx have mostly overnite travel to most all of our tourney's.
sorry i got of subject a little,as for getting the best bang for your buck,i stay away of any hotel-motel that the assoc is having as thier headquarters.these places seem to thinkt hat $79 a nite is a bargin.well i don't like paying that when all i'm gonna do is shower and sleep, how much do i need to pay for that.before i go to tourney's i do the ol internet search, hotwire, orbitz, expedia and etc.i've got it down to where i can find the extended stay america's at $29 in some city's i go to.it does take a little searching, but i can get it done.
ok for the ones who can't let it go,not sure how to help ya,but it does get old.

Thanks for the response. Out west we do have a little advantage with tourney's being close in proximity. I’m with you about a place to shower and sleep at a reasonable rate. I 'm playing with a team that traveling to Oregon, Washington, if we go to Seattle I’m set, SLC, and Phoenix. I’m set for L.V. & Reno I’m Interested in any airfare info and hotels. Trying to maximize budget.
Thank you good luck this season.

As far as the airline prices go, Southwest Airlines has very cheap prices when they first put their dates up (about 6 months ahead). You can go from one end of the country to the other for under $200 if you book it early enough (on the internet, of course). The closer you get to the date, the higher the price.
