info on 65 major teams and where they intend to travel this year
The scrap iron 65,s a major team is preparing our schedule for this year and plan to play in Reno, in May, Omaha Neb. in June Salt Lake City in Aug. Dalton Georgia in Sept. St. George in Oct, Phoenix in Oct. and Las Vegas in Nov. We would appreciate other 65 major teams letting us know where they are going so we know if there is going to be good turn out for the tournaments. We have let you know above where we intend to play. Any information you post for us would be very helpful as I am sure you would like to have the same information. We may also play the World series once they decide when and where it is to be played. The Omaha tournament is a dual qualifier for SPA and also the World Series. Looking forward to see a lot of you in the not to distant future. Enjoy the rest of the winter (yeah I know its not winter for a lot of you but it is here in Wyoming.) Don Pierson 22

Hi Ken If you click on the summit to the left side of the message board and then click on NASCS, you will be on the World Series site. I guess you could also search under the NASCS and come up with it. They have not set the dates or location yet for this years national tournament. It was in Lincoln Nebraska last year and they are trying to find a location that will pull more participation. I told him to look at the new fields in Sparks Nev. as I thought it would help draw a lot of teams. That is an awesome facility to play on. They also have qualifiers for the national and that is why we play in Omaha as it is a dual qualifier. What team are you with and does your team plan on attending any tournaments I mentioned we were going to play. Thanks for the reply. Don P Wyo 22

WYO22- QUALIFIERS- north of dallas,tx, 4/16 -4/18 mustang,ok (spa) 7/16-19 tulsa,ok (ssusa). 6 or 7 in texas, various cities, we are going to try very hard to go to reno,nv. 5/26-5/28, we will vote again once the season gets going. NATIONALS- SPA- DALTON,GA,-----LVSSA-LAS VEGAS,NV. SSUSA- PHOENIX,AZ LOOKS LIKE A POSSIBILITY AS IS ISA- IN NASHVILLE IN JULY. the problem,as you know, is finding 65 major competition in the state tourneys. ( just lack of major teams in area) a few teams (65-AAA,65-AA) would prefer not to play us. we may start looking at playing 60-AAA or even 65 major plus teams if avail at these tournaments. somehow we need to start getting focused so that we can compete with you. i am sure mitch has already forgotten about the HRS he got against you and the reason he hit them. if not, you may have to buy him a coke ! looking forward to seeing you and your homeboys down the road,. frank armijo

JR- too bad your team broke up, we had very competitive games with your team last year. we plan to be at the cities you mentioned. we are looking forward to get the season going again. we have added 2-3 players to shore up the infield this year. we should be a little stronger defensively. best of luck to your new team, jack. by the way, we have a makeshift team going to pasadena,tx. on 2/21. mostly the legend guys, plus a 71 yr and a 60 plus. hope we play 60's. this is for fun, TEAM NAME : MONGRELS 65'S. hope to see you there.

DOUBLE 10- the MONGRELS are a makeshift team we made up last year to play in the half century championships, we consisted of players from 60 ,65 to 70's. it is a fun team apart from our tournament team. just a bunch of guys that wanted to play that weekend. JIM was part of that team. i am the one that put it together at the last minute. jim and i normally play for the texas legends 65's. we are going to pasadena,tx on feb 21st as the MONGRELS, again just for fun, and jim and i will be part of this team. thanks. frank armijo, if you need further info, email: farmijo@att.net.

c,mon you 65+ major teams. Surely some of you know what trounaments you are going to play this year. It would really be helpful if most teams would post where they intend to play as it may get other teams to commit or decide to play those tournaments if they are still deciding on where to go. I know that all teams probably do not read this message board, if anyone knows of those who do not try and pass the word along and maybe something positive could come of this post. Thanks Wyo 22
