Einstein,
It's been fun agreeing and disagreeing with you. I hope you stay in contact with this site.
I'm from New York also. Went to Archbishop Molloy H.S., Class of '67. I wonder if we crossed paths when we were younger?

DMac,

I was Iona '65, makes me a little older if not wiser.
Noisier for sure.
We had the wolds best freshman basketball team and drew you guys in the first round of the city playoffs and got beat by 1 point.
As seniors we had the best pitcher in the country and you had that monster catcher who knocked me unconcious at home plate in a collision(but I held on to the ball )
and you beat us 1 nothing to knock us out of the city playoffs.
Those are the only 2 games I ever participated against you guys and that leaves you beating me, 2 to 0.
Hope to see you on the Softball diamond.
I got some catching up to do.
Best to you, D-Mac.
I'll always be around.

Joe,
Enjoyed your post. Of possible interest to you, the coach of Molloy that day, Jack Curran, is still their coach today. He replaced Louie Carneseca in 1957 and is now in his 48th season. In the "it's a small world" department, I believe Louie C. coached this web-sites own sjuhoops.
Stay out west Joe, it's too cold back there.

Hank:
Wow, I never realized you went to Molloy. I think you know my brother, Joe McNulty, class of '64. I never played for Mr. Curran; I was nowhere near good enough to play basketball. I got talked into running cross country, then I was too intimidated by Mr. Rienzo to have the nerve to quit, so I did it for four years. I ended up captain my senior year so I guess it worked out for the best.
I did play for St.Boniface and played against your brother Greg at St. Thomas, which may have had the worst court in the history of basketball.
I am sorry I didn't know you were playing at Menefee. I played for Top Gun, the team that won the division below yours. I will make it a point to look you up this year. I can say, with complete sincerity, that it will be an honor to meet you.

Yeah, Hank is easy enough to spot in a crowd. He was tall when a lot of guys, like me, thought they were tall at 6'4". Just look for the tall, distinguished, good-looking "oldster" - got me by two years!

Hank, just busting your chops! LL

dmac hey i knew your brother joe. what is he up to. as for your team top gun i have played against them over the past 10 years from time to time. We were supposed to play this coming weekend in the 60's but because of the unbelievable decision of a few tourney directors we will play 55's this year if we can find a few more bodies. anyhow it wil be great to meet you. keep me posted on your tourneys. email me at hjc565@aol.com. and we can talk. as far as st, thomas i was cut in 8th grade and never made the cyo team. all my brothers did play but you are right that was some gym. my sisters daughter goes there now. 54 years after i started there. wow

LARRY my x buddy you were going strong with tall, good looking and distinguished but you faltered badly after that(haha)
Our team now has 8 players this year. we picked up 2 california guys andthe landscaper at the ballpark just to play this past weekend. we may not have enough to field a team. we have 2 55's out of the 8 so we will have to plau 55. all because the directors in charge of senior softball closed cal to us for the good of senior softball. if we cant find a few guys and we have been making call and getting maybe's we may not have a team and some guys actually wont be able to play this year. UNBELIEVABLE how they hurt adjoining states of fla and cal and wont do anything about it. they say they will discuss changing it for 2006. i could go on for hours but i wont. good luck to the ission guys and say hello for me
thanks
keep hitting them longand say hello to pam
