Jan. 24, 2005 Dbax Men's 65 2101 posts | Golden Gloves Forfeiting Congrats to the Golden Gloves 50's team for forfeiting their game against Pop A Top Stew in Yuma yesterday, because they felt they would not win! That's alot of class! Any teams forfeiting should not be allowed to play in the tourney again. This affected the other teams in the tourney. What a bunch of losers! |
Jan. 24, 2005 jah#4 Men's 70 576 posts | can not save me why a team would pay to go to a tournament and than give up a chance to play. Why go to play if you going to forfeit. unless they was short handed, players maybe coming late or no pitcher. |

Jan. 24, 2005 red 28 posts | we did forfiet one year in Baytown, we are a AA team and had played 3 games Friday and 5 Saturday and they had us playing a Major team Sunday morning our guys voted to go home after the last game Sat. When playing a round robin format the tournament Director needs to look at who is playing who on the last day, and try not to have teams from far off play either one game or the late game on the last day and do not set up a known mismatch for that game. |
