March 26, 2009 taits Men's 65 4548 posts | Well here is a new take to consider, BUYING your HR's after you run out of them... Not good for sport. I can just see a well sponsored team coming in and prepaying for about 30. Perhaps you need to re word that "Ability to purchase extra home runs" or change that rule. U-trip just went down a notch. I wonder who came up with that one, Gary? |
March 26, 2009 distancetw 8 posts | Actually this idea is not a USSSA idea. Actually this is the only USSSA event in the US that uses this as it is a charity event and all of the money from home runs is donated to the charity. Also It was taken from the McQuade (the largest charity tournament in the world, which is an ASA/WSL event). Also there are specific rules in place that keep a well funded team from taking advantage of this. |
