Though I do not know about the newer bats out like the 73V , I do know the CNT Stealth's (blue and red tapers) are great. Also the Stealth w\ a white barrel. I'm sure there are others also.

PETE- i asked the same question about a week ago. rooster10 mentioned the TPS VOLTAGE SB73V ( OR SPORTS AUTHORITY # SASB73V ) i stopped by the local sports authority store, the had only a # SASB78v for 99.00 on special. i dont think it's the same bat, maybe an updated version ? maybe somebody here can offer some info. good luck ! the sasb73v is not listed on the sports authority website. help !

Guys
The TPS Voltage once broken in around 1500-2000 swings you will see it is the best ASA bat out there. The 78V model is ng only the 73V is good.I know
people will say how come you need so many swings? If you can find one other than e-bay which they are selling for 250+ than you will not be disappointed.
My take and I use one!!

taits-Just FYI the 73V are not new model bats.I believe that they are pre 2007 even. Which is why they are hard to come by.You won't find a 73V at Sports Authority.78V was made for them by TPS.TPS says that the 73V and 78V are the same.I've hit both. Not the same. Not even close. I've never hit with a hotter ASA bat than the 73V.But they still aren't worth what they are going for.

The 73v was last made by tps in 2004 and that is why they are so hard to find. I agree that they are not worth 250+ unless you play alot of ASA leagues. We got ours for $99.They do break if you use them alot especially in practice.

This has been ask several times on this board and all have good choices, however I use the Red Recoil by Miken for All ASA play. Go to
kellysultimatesports.com, click on softball bats, then click on the first Red Recoil, see what Anthony Kelly has to say about this bat after he has used it .Hope this helps and good luck in 2009.

We have 2 V73,s and they are just logs no one wants to use them in BP so it might be awhile before they get broke in,I am using a Synergy Extended, a Combat antivirus, and an Orange Mayhem in our ASA league up here on the Canadian west coast.

If you want to sell them at any time ,leave a message on the board and I will be happy to buy them.Believe me it takes 2000 swings to get it going.
You bought them on e-bay and you know what they are going for?I am not saying it is the best ASA bat around but it is as good as I have ever swung!! Good luck in canada on your season!

Just received the 73v. Besides hitting balls, is there a quicker way to break in a bat?
