Master Collision is considering this tournament if other 55 Major teams are participating. Let us know.

Thanks for the response. We will attend if 3-4 other 55 major teams attend. Would Chubb, Reds & any other Northern Cal teams reconsider?

Bert55 - OLR Nighthawks is considering this tournament as an alternative to Western Nationals in Salt Lake City because no other 55 M+ teams are attending. It would be nice if we could all commit and agree on an event like this one and then show up. Besides Chubb and RC Reds, how about Ruth's 55's, MTC 55 and Old Dawgs? From So CA, how about NCI, West Coast and Utah Coyotes? AND HERE'S A RADICAL IDEA - Let us all play in a combined 55 Major/M+ division as equals, LIKE LVSSA DID. Result - a very competitive 55 upper division tournament with 10 teams!! HOW ABOUT IT GUYS? HOW ABOUT IT - TH AND SSUSA? HOW COULD THAT BE BAD? IN LVSSA, a 55 Major team beat out two 55 M+ teams to win it (Remember Bert?) The current run rules and homer caps provide enough equalization that any one of these teams could get hot and win. This would be a great test for getting rid of one division to boost participation while maintaining reasonable competition. SSUSA has no problem combining age groups, even at TOC events.

Absent this kind of compromise, here is reality for our team. 20 of our 43 games this year have been against 50 Major and Major plus teams.

You could add the only two high level 50+ Northwest teams to the tournament, NW Legends and Four Seasons. They are probably going have to play an exciting two out of three!

after a team meeting we have too many players with previous committments on the Portland dates. We will not be able to attend. Our remaining schedule is Reno,Salt Lake,LVSSA Worlds, & Phoenix. We will consider Portland next year at our organizational meeting.

Unfortunately, OLR Nighthawks (55M+) won't be able to go to Portland either as too many players are otherwise committed for this weekend. Looks like a good event for next year. We'll be in Reno, LVSSA Worlds, Phoenix and So. CA SSUSA events for the rest of this year. We're not planning on Salt Lake since most Western 55 M+ teams aren't going. Why spend the money to play out of our division or give five runs to teams that don't need them to compete. As stated many times by many teams, one less division would solve this problem.
