Rock N Reno
Just to inform any Major teams attending, that my team Double Nickels was planning on going to Rock N Reno and still is planning to do so, but have come up with several injuries and financial difficulties for several of our players. We are working on this, and trying to remedy this before the May 12th deadline for signing up. I have my flight reservations and rental car, but need 3 more players for a go. Just wanted to let the teams that we had informed that we would be there, and now we are not sure.

Andy Smith,
Double Nickels,
Manager/Coach

Infielder,

We are a 55 Major team. Are you 55 yet? Who have you played for and what positions do you play?

Gary#2,

We are trying our best. The committed players all have rooms, transportation and airfares. We only have 10 definites. We are looking at a player this weekend that does not play senior softball, so we will see how that goes. Whether we go or not, I will try to come by the fields and say hi and watch a game or 2. I already have flights for Reno, since my daughter and grand kids live up there, so I will be going either way. I have another player that is supposed to let me know this weekend. Two of our players/subs are playing on a 50 Major team and a 60 Major team. I cannot count on them to help us out, unless their games do not conflict with ours. We will not know that in advance. I always have one player that never can commit till a week before, but I have to have my money and registration in before. I will let you know what transpires after this weekend. Look forward to watching or playing your team.

Gary,

I will talk to my team about that one, IF we do not go to Reno. I am 90% sure that we are going to Reno. I am waiting for 1-2 players to commit, and I have 2-3 from another team volunteering to go play with us in Reno. I liked playing in Portland, but have not been there for over 6 years. I have a poor team (no $$$), and several our players cannot play a 3 day tournament, because of work. Some of our guys have fell upon difficult times financially. We have 2-3 players that continually want to go to Oregon, but I need the rest to commit. I will keep you informed about Reno. We will know soon. Mostly waiting for a paticular player to commit, and we will go. All of our other players have made flights, hotel and room reservations already. I will let you know by the end of the week.
