Aug. 15, 2009 Jano23 Men's 65 97 posts | Nice going, SSUSA Staff I was wondering how some of my favorite teams were doing at the CA State Championships (currently in progress). I was pleasantly surprised to find that fairly up-to-date results were available on this website. Nice going, SSUSA Staff!!! |
Aug. 16, 2009 Fred Scerra Men's 80 542 posts | I wish they would do as good a job on the East Coast tournaments. It seems that all the East Coast tournaments take second fiddle to the rest of the country when it comes to tournament updates. For example the Ocean State Classic the tournament is just about over and we can't even find out what teams are in the tournament. |
Aug. 16, 2009 taits Men's 65 4548 posts | I believe that postings are the fasted ever done. Even better that than "live" update that was tried before. KUDO's Dave, et al. |
Aug. 16, 2009 TommyMass 24 posts | Guys, With the exception of major events Western, Eastern Championships for example and various TOC events. The "crew" for Sacramento; Terry, Fran, Dave et al don't travel and run/report on the 'regular' qualifiers such as Rhode Island this weekend that' why the scores and winners are not available quickly. It is up to the tournament director to report the scores. I feel that this message is a great tool to promote events and those of us (including myself) are missing the boat by not reporting on this board in a quick manner. It's informative to everyone; that makes it a great selling/promotional tool for our tournaments & IT's FREE! Not meant as a criticism to any one; just an observation from one who's 'been there/done that'. |
Aug. 16, 2009 Fred Scerra Men's 80 542 posts | I not even talking about the scores. I can't even find out what teams are entered if I wanted to take a run down there to watch. |
Aug. 16, 2009 SOFTBALLGRAMPS Men's 55 98 posts | Just wanted to say that Richard in Oxnard, Ca. does a good job reporting his results, good job Richard |
Aug. 17, 2009 JJ Men's 75 18 posts | Gentlemen: Have to give Dave all the credit for the current updates. We were at the park Friday night to watch some of the "50" games and Dave was there "pecking" at his laptop bringing the brackets current for the day!! Love the Dowells: Dave and "Money" for the great job they did this last weekend. Fields were fantastic (but hot!), umpires were good and not so good (as usual), schedules and timing went well. |
