SESSION #1 REVISION - The Men's 70/75-Division Schedule of the Northern Championships has been revised for the late withdrawal of the North Coast-Kaiser Permanente (OH) club after the DRAFT Schedules were published ... The changes result in Round Robin game opponent (but not time) revisions and the 70-Major Division will now be a Best 2 of 3 Championship Series instead of a three-team double elimination bracket ... NO other divisions were impacted by this withdrawal ... The online schedules and master games and field grid have been updated accordingly ...Although these changes were outside of our control, we apologize for any inconvenience.

Congrats to Doug and Dons auto. The 50AAA division was pretty evenly matched. Good competition and Good sportsmanship. Given the weather conditions, special thanks to the grounds crew that worked the diamonds after EVERY game.

I would like to say to Steve Simmons and everyone involved in the Lansing Tourney that inspite of the weather you did a great job with the fields and getting the tourney in. We hear all the complaints but on this week-end we need to tip our hats to all including ground crews and umpires.

We played at the Potterfield Complex and I agree the tournament went well there, especially considering the WX. The wind never let up but the fields were very playable. wish there was some way to soften up the infield somewhat because it was very hard below the surface and draging helped but there were a few nasty hops that resulted in a couple of facial/head injuries that I saw. Joe Yacono (and wife) was the SSUSA Rep on site and he was there the entire time and responded to several issues (sliding into home, hitting the wrong 1st base bag, PPR, etc,) immediately. I disagreed with one of his decisions but he made the call when the ump wasn't sure of the senior rule and that was that. 1st time at Lansing, the Good Lord willing, I'll go back.

I agree Butch,Steve and ground crew did a great job. Only thing was by the 2rd inning the back line of Pitcher box was completely gone so how are umps to call PPR without guessing whether Pitcher is in box when hit
