Montgomery tournament
GREAT TOURNAMENT for all my teammates with the Old South/Miken team. Once we finally got through the pool play where we almost drowned (hah) ,we finally started hitting the ball. It's going to be a great year.

Would like to give congrats to my teammate/Coach BruceinGa for a great All Tourney performance in Montgomery. I give accolades to Lagoon Park; excellent fields considering the weather; & they tried to finish the tourney on Saturday Night instead of going into Sunday. Also, getting to see old friends.

Did the Metro Stars from Louisville make the Montgomery Tournament? If so, how did they do?

It was a good tournament in Montgomery. The team as a whole hit real well. I think we finally came togrther and hit the ball well, despite the conditions. Also, my hats off to the people who ran the tournament and the umpires. They did a great job. Last, the ball we used was great.

Hats off to the MVP and All-tourney for the Miken /Old South Team Frank Gould MVP only make 3 out in the tourney Billy Davis Hit over 750 and 12 HR Bruce Fairchild hit over 835. The hardest thing on this team is to pick all tourneys because anyone played so well.

Thanks to Lynn & Kathy for the jerseys; Bruce & Lynn for motel help & Don for setting up the tourney & finding the coins to cover it. I did not mention all All tourney players, I was afraid I would miss someone. Frank was incredbible & they found one of the balls Billy hit this morning in the Chattahoochee River in Atlanta; what an animal.

Great tournament in Montgomery at one of the nicest complexs I,ve been to. Using 47 core 525 balls in the cool weather made for some high scores in the gold division. Congrats to Miken/Old South in the gold and Southern Belle in the Silver. Both teams were good experienced tournament teams that were able to perform when it counted. Our team was just happy to be able to play so early in the year. We get to stay close to home the next three tournaments at Indianapolis, Louisville, and Columbus, In.
