| Aug. 28, 2009 SSUSA Staff 3490 posts | NORTHERN CHAMPIONSHIPS - Weather Delay Update Adverse weather has postponed (but NOT yet canceled) scheduled games for Friday morning ... Tournament Directors have remained on-site and will re-evaluate the potential for Friday play at NOON Eastern Daylight Time ... All "play/no-play" decisions will be made at the fields of play at that time ... Updates on any decisions, including schedule revisions, will be announced here as well ... Thank you! |
| Aug. 28, 2009 SSUSA Staff 3490 posts | FRIDAY GAMES CANCELED as of 1:30 PM EDT due to ongoing adverse weather and unsafe playing conditions ... Tournament scheduling is being re-drawn for Saturday and Sunday play, as follows: • MEN'S 65's, 70's and 75's • - Play has been moved to Saturday at Gier Park in Lansing (2400 Hall St. - Lansing, MI 48906-4181) beginning at 9:00 AM - 65-AAA will play conventional D.E. bracket instead of 3-game-guarantee bracket - 65-AA will play D.E. bracket (same as orignal format) - 70-Major and 65/70-Gold will play Best 2 of 3 (same as original format) Revised schedules forthcoming • Potterville Site - MEN'S 50-AAA, 50-AA, 60-AAA and 60-AA - Friday Round Robin Seeding games are cancelled - Brackets will commence as scheduled Saturday morning ... Minor schedule modifications will occur to prevent any teams from being eliminated on Saturday ... Bracket position assignments will be determined by blind draw from a hat in Sacramento office. Revised schedules forthcoming • East Lansing Site - MEN'S 50-Platinum, 55-Gold and 60-Platinum - Friday Round Robin games are cancelled - All teams will play two Round Robin Seeding games Saturday - First games are at 10:00 AM - Brackets will all be conventioanl D.E. format instead of previously scheduled 3-game-guarantee brackets and will commence at 2:30 PM.
