If it slithers beware.
I registered my team name just in case so I wouldn't have to wear a flack jacket to protect my back. I can understand players splitting off, but has anyone ever had to deal with s---bags trying to take over a team, and the name? For a few bucks, regester your team name, it will work. I also covers what is called "confusingly simular".

If you look through the teams names ( here & all over) you'll find many with the same ones. Might be in same state or different age div but their there. There are some really different name out there.
If by "registering" name you mean trade mark or copy right, you might have a chance, other wise, even if you had if first, doesn't mean you get to keep it... Which happened recently.
Hope it works for ya.

Thanks much for your response. The thing is, the bad guys are in the same league, and town. I think the registering of the name put up a block. They my use something close, but the infringment covers "confusingly simular" also. Much appreciation.

I believe I know whom your referring to but, will let it go at that. I just hope you can "work" it in a friendly way. Kinda like one team I know well, did,
Original tean was the Sac. Saints and the other became Ain't no Saints. However, these are the same age div\rating. Even if one of ya just added a say #2 , or we were the, used 2 B, or some other distinction to the shirt it might be fun for you both

Sorry Dave and John for using you as an example, but it fit.

Well I have no plan to work it out. These players splintered off to form another team, but when they were unable to,so they submitted a letter to the league director stating I had been voted off as the team manager, and they would be voting in a new manager, a coach, and would keep my registered team name. The votes were just fabricated, for I verified there bogus voteing information, and are confronting them as we speak. They will not take my team or team name.
