SPA
Have you ever gone to a national tournament, and won the division and received nothing. Well we did at spa nationals in Georgia. My first win and A all american and we got a computer bag , no certificates, no medals, no plaques. If we want a ring buy it for $250. or a $20 jacket for $50 0r watch for $50.

Thought not having been in your position, one could say it is better to give (of your time, effort and hard earned money) that the receive ( a computer bad, and some choices to buy other awards) if you won.
Not that that would seem reasonable to me, for sure, but at least you were still left holding it, the bag, that is... sorry I couldn't resist.
Have seen many t's where socks were the prize...

Sounds like PT Barnum was proven correct once again.

This is a real issue with senior tournamnets, NOT the precious bat/ball combo someone incessantly speaks of.

RV, we received an envelope with a sheet in it entitled "National Championship Awards". It states that winners get a choice of a watch, one of three types of jackets, or $50. toward the purchase of a ring. There was a form on which you could make a selection of which award you want. The form has to be in SPA headquarters by October 16. If you didn't get this information, you might want to call the SPA headquarters and request the forms. There were a number of other items that you could purchase.

I hope this is of some help to you. Hombre

I have been to the SPA Nationals 8 years in a row, some years twice. Someone has forgot who the customer is. I will spend my time and money with an organization that appreciates the business. SPA thinks it's the only game in town. Time to show them how wrong they are.

Take heart RV. SPA will mail you a certificate along with info on how you can buy All American "awards". At least that's what they did in 2008. I just went through a bunch of old papers on my desk and shredded it along with the other junk mail that had accumulated.
