LVSSA strikes again
Over the Edge, BRL, Ancell, had a great making for a good start to a 55 major tournament. The only trouble was these three teams were in the AAA division. Don't get me wrong, each one of these teams is a class act, but what in the heck are they doing in an AAA tourney? They've all been rated major this year. You're allowed two pickups in the tourney (in Ancells case some of the pick up players were from the Greyhounds a major + team) This means that a lot of AAA teams paid a lot of money and had no chance of winning. Although Ancell did lose a round robin game it was to Over the Edge another major team. LVSSA better check rosters/teams a little closer. This crap keeps happening and I'm sure teams will find other places to spend their money.

Lacak,
You know that's worse than the HR issue, What's your take on this one? I'm sure it would be put up (posted) nicer than mine. Will be interesting to see if any other post on this issue come forward.

Michigan native, believe me, LVSSA knew these teams were rated major weeks before the tournament. Why they allowed it I'll never know. Money talks.

This happens every year at LVSSA ! Happen to us in same 55aaa 4 years ago. We have not been back, the city draws the teams. Go to Phoenix for World Championships then on to Vegas for a few days is what we have been doing.

WE were in that division also and believe me we won't be going back.I had been pre-warned by others that this has happened to before and they do not attend because of it. So we will be saving our fees for something else in upcoming years.

In 2008 we went to the fall championship for LVSSA and and encountered a team that should not have been in our division. I asked the tournament director how they got in to our division he said "they told me what thier rating was". I have to assume that he was eaither incompetant or did not care. I will never return to another LVSSA tournament as a player or manager. At least with SSUSA they make effort to fairly rate teams.

Well, how would you like to have been the Aro Glass team that lost to Ancell in the Championship game. Aro playing their best ball all year was not good enough when Ancell scored 35 run in the title game. They hit sooo many hr's they had people stationed on the other side of the fence each inning to bring the balls back. I have been told by the Assist Director they are looking into the this. I will wait to see what action is taken.

Maddog we may cross paths next year, less SSUSA, more LVSSA, some exhibition stuff and would love to go back to Huntsman. Would be fun to put a mix and match team in Huntsman without all the drama the other associations present. Looks like the new Big league dreams fields (6) will be on line in January 2010. Remember where Freedom park was, that is where the BLD facilities will be. I would suspect anything in Vegas will have some portion of the tourney played at the BLD facility.

So, when playing in Vegas, we will now have to carry an extra bat? BLD's doesn't allow Miken UII's.

I saw a copy of a memo that stated that due to the contract the city signed the BLD fields had to be filled up first. Not all the fields are city run, I don't know the exact breakdown but there are the Henderson fields, and Clark county fields and then there is Mesquite.

Okay to all you guys wondering how we got to play AAA in Las Vegas. I sent them about 5 Tournaments scores that we played in and gave the director all our scores in which he asked for. By looking at all our wins and lost record we were 5 wins and 23 lost in the Major Division in the last 5 months we played in the Major's this past seasons. All of you who are question our team OTE just go and look up our scores in Rock n Reno and we had lost all of our games there. Then you can check out the California Cup too while your at that too. I did receive and E-Mail from the director and stated we are going to put you guys down but we are going to watch you very closely. Well we did lose to 2 very good AAA teams from Las Vegas and from Hawaii team that knock out of the tournament. Yes we did beat Ancell but had no knowledge that they had some Major Plus Players. My roster that I sent to Lvss was legiet with no add on what so ever and my roster has never change from day 1 all year long.
