Playing in Two Age Groups
Does anyone know if there are any restrictions against being on the rosters of two teams that are in different age groups (i.e., could a 60 year old be on the roster of a 60+ team and a 55+ team)? Could that player qualify to play in national or world tournaments with both teams? Interested to know for SSUSA and SPA.

You can only be on one roster but you can play on another team as a pickup player...

The organizatioin decides if it will allow you to play in the same tournament in two different age groups. Check out their web sites and see if it is posted.

Hi T.T. .... SSUSA's 2003-2004 Rulebook says "yes." You have the situation correct. See pages 52 - 54 ... 9.2 Roster Restrictions and 9.2 (2) Adding Players.
... I don't know SPA's roster rules.

just check out the senior ratings web site at www.softballrating.com and you will see on the right hand side of the screen a notice of the comparison of rules for all senior associations.
