Unfortunatly, I share the comments about this Sub-par Tournament. To be a 50's AAA team and have to play all day on 270 foot fences is inexcusable. However the best game I have ever been associated with was my teams game with the Alabama 50's. We have had some classic battles this year and that team showed as much class in defeat as they did in victory. To each and every player I give you my utmost respect. As for SSWC you should be ashamed of the event you staged. To much physical effort and expense is invested by players coaches sponsors and fans to participate in a tournament of that caliber. From the misranked teams, field conditions, umpiring crew, lack of trophies this was a disgrace for senior softball and a insult for those who invest so much for so little

You are correct! I am my team was ejected from the tournament because we questioned a call. the directors got involved and I asked them a question about the call and they told me we were troublemakers,go home , we don't want you here. They denied ever saying such a thing. They also told one of our players to "shutup" and get back on the field. several other incidents happened. The tournament I thought, not because of sour grapes, but because of the truth, was poor, and if that all that they can provide it is time for all to move on.

A tournament of this mangnitude deserves better field conditions. I've seen better infield conditons on a beach. Where were the scorekeepers? Perhaps if they had people to retrieve home runs and foul balls the umpires wouldn't have been short of balls during the game.
