Sam Leo of the Ohio(Akron) Silverados....
passed away earlier this year of a massive heart attack. Even though he was mostly know locally among the senior softball players, it should not go unnoticed about his character and softball ability. He always came with a competitive attitude and left nothing on the field after the game. A speccial thanks should be given to his coach, Terry McClasky who went beyond his call of duty as a humanitarian and assisted and consoled Sam's family through the entire tragic ordeal. I am not looking for responses to this email other than to bring forward how fragile each and everyone of our lives are and how thankful we should be to be able to play this game that we so dearly have loved since our childhood days. Again, even though few have know Sam, he is still a member of the senior softball family. We lost a good person. Our belated condolences goes out to Sam's family, his teammates, and especially to Terry McClasky. Remember, there is more to this senior game than what is between the lines. LA (Dayton Legends)
