Big D, I don't know about the weekends but the Pops44 and the Woodlawn Hitting Club hit on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:00am at Woodlawn Park in St. Pete.
Here's a link to their message board:

They're always looking for someone to hit some on top of the police firing range building.

I will be in Lakeland from the 24th to 31st for a baseball fantasy camp. Anybody hitting close. I would like to break away for BP, if possible.

Brian,
Is there a place to hit in Lakeland during the day? We're coming in for TOC and would like to find a place to hit in the afternoons Feb 9-11 without the parks and rec hassles. Email is on my info page.

Well, that was some fantasy camp for the Tigers, but I had no time to hit around 8 BASEBALL games. What a time-Mickey Lolich, Dave Rozema, Al Kaline, Mike Heath, Willie Hernandez, Steve Kemp, Frank Tanana, Juan Berenguer, John Hiller, Jon Warden. Ike Blessit, John Grubb, Rick Leach,Walt Terrell,Jim Price-It was a blast. Gonna be hard to go back to softball, maybe.

Webbie, did you have a chance to talk to Rick Leach? I think he is playing Senior Softball now.

E4/E6, I spent a lot of time with Rick Leach. He knew I play and never said a word. He talked about his 3 kids-2 through UM and a third is there now, about quarterbacking the Wolverines, golf at Harbor Point, Pitching--everything but Sr. Softball. Absolutely a great guy.

Frank Tanana is an extremely religious guy and it is not a show.I was priveleged to talk to himfor quite a while, too. He is also one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Rosie, Dave Rozema, was absolutely nuts!!! in a fun way-he will keep you in stitches for hours.Judge Jon Warden held the Kangaroo courts-what a hoot.I don't know how the other fantasy camps are, but if you get a chance to get to a good one like the Tigers--jump on it.
