Does anyone know where the SSWC 50'AA is next year, and when it is being held?

you can bet the AA will not be anywhere in the middle of the counrty it will be west or way north. we have always enjoyed the tournament but we are tired of always having to travel so far. Red from Texas

I sympathize with you Red. I think everyone would like to have the tournament somewhere in the central USA so it would draw teams from the east. Whenever we play in the so-called "nationals" we seem to be playing teams we play against week in and week out from S. Cal, Phoenix, and Vegas. It would be nice if the heirarchy that run this organization would listen to the people they represent, the players, and have tournaments that everyone could attend, not just the locals, like last year. I appreciate their efforts, but whenever someone mentions this it seems to fall on deaf ears. Maybe if enough people speak up it can change. We'll see. Good luck.

hi we hosted the aa worlds in winnipeg and there was more positive feedback from 42 teams about diamonds than mobile had from 120 teams (mostly negative). The told us everything will be in vegas next year so we hope to see you there

I hope to see you in Vegas next year too Dawg. I have NEVER seen anyone from Canada in the 50 AA division SSUSA "World Championships". Even when it was in Colorado, and Salem last year. Maybe it was just hard to get there from Canada. Yet the people that run this organization saw fit to award Winnipeg the the AAA and AA in the last few years. Why is that?

I have nothing against Canada, or the people that live there and I'm happy that there is an interest in softball with our northern neighbors. I'm sure that the fields are great and the players are every bit as adept at the game as the stateside people. But I think the powers that be in this organization should think about more than that when they give the "World Championships" to a city. It should also be easy to get to and somewhere that would draw teams from all over, even Canada. Anyway, I hope to see you next year. Good luck.

We played a team from Canada when we were in Vegas a few years ago, I think the Traders Club or something like that. They were a good team I think we lost by a few runs. That was a good group we went 3-4 and lost 3 by one run each and we were the only team to beat our pool winner. And I think they finished 4th.

Ken sworry we are in the 55 bracket and iam sure we are coming to vegas. As far as Winnipeg getting the worlds we have hosted the best worlds in 2000 and 2003 just ask someone who played here.Ask Terry or Rick they will tell you it is most organized tournies they have had. Also it is just as far andmore expensive for us as our dollar is not worth as much as yours and we come.

Air fare to Winnipeg is the killer. Only the well financed or more local teams can afford that trip. Air fare from San Francisco to Mobile was half of fare to Winnipeg.

That can not be done if it is a 50 or 55 team and all are still working. Winipeg is just too costly.
