Why are all these qualifier tournaments going to a round robin format? I guess to save money. I hate the round robin format. We have a three game round robin and that is enough. Lets play a double elimination. We won't go to Champaign again if they use this format. These kind of round robin are usless this time of year. Let Rudy and other directors know we don't want this.

Hi JTS2, I agree with you 100%, i really hate the round robin tourneys, but, this is our first time at this tourney,so i will give it a chance.
, it seems everyone can find something wrong with each tourney, but since we want to play we go anyway and hope for the best or that they will do better next time, it ususally takes me about 2 or 3 times at that tourney before i will cancel it for next year, that is if the same problem still exists, Rabbit

I guess you two either don't like geiing
1. more games for the buck
2. get tired after two or three games.
3. host one day tourneys, unless you get as good number of teams entered.
I don't know, haven't been back east to play ball tho I'd like to someday.
At least with RR games you know going in your going to get at least that may games win or loose.

HI Taits, I think you misunderstood us, we want to play as many games as possible, like you said, but we would rather play a 3 game pool play round robin and then start a double elimanation on the next day, you still get your 5 games, but still have a chance to play more games and a chance to win if you lose on the first day in pool play. I hope you can make it out east and if you do please make sure you look us up, we will be inCullman, Alabama for NSA Worlds July 29-30--31 , and then theSSWC Eastern Nationals on August 13 & 14th in Lansing Michigan, then we will go southwest to Plano,Tx in Sep,for the SPA 50 AAA Nationals maybe your team will be at one of these, they will all play 3 game pool play and then a double Elimanation, see ya, Rabbit, Indiana Classics 50 AAA

In a round robin, you play 2 to 4 games a day. That is plenty. After 3 games in a day, injuries happen more frequently. In a double elimination, a team could play 7 games in a day. I like round robins.

That's 7 games on Sunday, not 7 games total.

Gosh, Rabbit, since we all got the schedules for all the divisions, I was hoping that you would type up the other five, not just the 50s. ;-) Yes, I am kidding. We will be there in the 55s. As you know I have been around a lot of tournaments and directors, and a five game minimum often means that the best deal to them is a round robin; corners get cut whether we agree with it or not sometimes. Of course it changes the odds a little bit, but the part that I do like about the round robin, especially if there are six teams total, is that we actually get to play every team. So many times we go to a tournament and only get to play a few of the ones there because of how seedings and brackets are worked up. Anyway, good luck to our AAA friends, the Indiana Classics. I still would like to see you guys go to the big one in Phoenix. I just got dates for the Kalamazoo tournament at the end of July if you are interested.

You are too kind. The Indy Classics in the 55s is a misprint; they are the Indiana Legends. Since you did the old guys (55), I guess that I had better do the older guys. 60 Gold: Minn SPT, Indy Classics, Estes Chevrolet, Olson, Chicago Classic Blue. 60 Silver: Osh Kosh, Chicago Classic White, ATP, U.S. Pallet, Country Bin. 65: Michigan Lakers, AG Edwards, Geezers 65, KFC, Moose Lodge. Your wife Nancy is quieter and easier to get out of the ball park. This Nancy is noisy and almost impossible to get out of the park. Good luck to all this weekend.
