Son of a .................
Batting practice last weekend with some guys from another team. One guy had a red Ultra that looked pretty new.

I'm in the market for a new U2 so I asked him if I could swing it. He said yes and......yep, somewhere in the 15/20 balls I hit.... the bat broke.

Do I owe him a new bat? Half a bat?

I am asking the question but I know what I need to do.

Hey Kenny. Can you find out what the weight was on Bubba's bat. I need to replace it.

You broke a bat? I'd say it was already cracked. Further investigation is necessary.

I know. I used to dent and break several bats a year but it's been years since I've done any damage.

Jon - just ask the man if he thought it was already cracked but be prepared to buy him a new one (about 180). I use the U2Maxload red and I break them. First they crack and the are still hot until the crack breaks. They spiderweb a bit before the crack but its such a good senior bat that I don't care. (My next one is somewhere in UPSland as we speak.)
They break easy but don't sweat the small stuff - offer to buy it and he should offer to split it.
Good luck this year.

Jon, Bubba said he would be happy with a third or half of the cost. It was a 27 oz. Kenny

Thanks Ken.

I just got my income tax refund yesterday so the timing is good :)

Since the bat was so flimsy, I don't know if he wants another one so I will just get him the cash.

I'll be in Prescott this weekend and Vegas the next so I can't get to Ray/I-10 on Sunday. Can I meet up with someone during the week to take care of it?

I am going to Vegas for work.

There is an annual trade show with all the new lighting stuff.

Is there a senior tournament that weekend?
