| May 10, 2010 SteveSimmons 66 posts | NEW ENGLAND CLASSIC (CT SSWC QUALIFIER) The New England Classic (CT SSWC Qualifier) will be played over two weekends (May 15-16 and May 22-23) at the CT Sportsplex in North Branford, CT. Here is a list of the teams in the tournament: MAY 15-16 50 GOLD 1. East Coast Softball, NY 2. Action Auto Parts, RI 3. My Cousin Vinny's, MA 55/60 GOLD 1. NY Motion, NY 2. Baystate Bombers, MA 60 SILVER 1. Jersey Masters, NJ 2. Commodity Haulers Express, RI 3. Edge Technology 60's, CT 4. Davey Byrnes, CT 5. Cape Cod Mariners, MA 50 WOMEN 1. CT Senior Moments, CT 2. CT Senior Moments Too, CT MAY 22-23 65 AAA 1. Cozy Grille, RI 2. NY Streaks, NY 3. Edge Technology 65's, CT 4. Hannington's, MA 65 AA 1. Syracuse Cyclones 65's, NY 2. Western Mass 65's, MA 70 GOLD 1. Back Office Associates, MA 2. Syracuse Cyclones 70's, NY 3. Jersey Jaguars 70's, NJ 70 AA 1. Wanskuck Post 56, RI 2. CAM HVAC, RI 3. Edge Technology 70's, CT The schedule for the May 15-16 session is posted in the tournament section of the web site on the New England Classic tournament page. The schedule for the May 22-23 session will be posted later this week. Primarily the tournament format will be round robin play with some cross divisional games to fill out teams' schedules. Some divisions will be decided by head-to-head games, single elimination playoffs or a best-of-three series. Check the schedule to see the format used for each division. Games will be played to SSUSA rules with one exception, the time limit. All games, except championship games, will be played to a 55 minute time limit, followed by the open inning. Championship games will be played to completion. |

The tournament page can be found in the tournament section of the web site. There is one change to the tournament field of teams, the NY Streaks dropped out of the 65 AAA division. |
