MEN'S 50-AAA • Statement Regarding Playing Location for Rock 'n Reno 2010
"...Thank you for playing with us in the Reno Challenge Cup this year. We are happy to tell you that there are 211 teams competing this year – making Reno the 3rd largest senior tournament in the country.

As you know, we pre-assign divisions to specific complexes for the tournament to help teams make hotel arrangements early. We base these assignments on the number of teams that played in each division the previous year.

This year, the numbers of teams in some divisions differed significantly and, so we have too many teams in Golden Eagle in Sparks and not enough in Centennial Park in Carson City.

Therefore, we are forced to move the 50-AAA division teams to Centennial Park for the tournament. We will schedule the 50-AAA teams later Friday (not starting on Friday earlier 11:00 AM) so that players have more time to make the 30-minute drive from Reno to Carson City and avoid the morning rush hour traffic.

We wish we did not have to move the division, but the drive is pretty and takes less time, for example, than to drive from one field to another in Phoenix for the World Championships. We are moving the 50-AAA because of the number of teams in the division and because almost all of the 55 division (Major+, Major and AAA) played in Carson City last year.

We wanted you to know as soon as we knew we were going to have to move a division.

Thanks for your understanding, good luck and we look forward to seeing you at the tournament!..."

The 50's and 60's have the most teams registered. Therefore, we need to be flexible to have a more enjoyable tournament for all. Next year Terry, make sure the 50 AAA play in Carson City again. Just kidding! I played in Carson City last year and stayed in Reno. It was a very easy and nice drive, almost all freeway. Have a fun time in Reno everyone. Look forward to playing some different teams and seeing some friends.

Before anyone checks out what I said about registered teams, I meant to say that the 50's and 60's have the most registered teams with SSUSA, and a high volume of these teams are bound to show up at the better tournaments, therefore, we need to be a little flexible when this happens.

I signed the above message with my old team name that does not exist any longer. OOPPSS! LOL!

Hennessy this blows. You've done this to me two times in the last two years (not necessarily this tourny) You need to get your act together. Yeah I know, you're the only game in town, still sucks.
