May 25, 2010 SeniorMan 37 posts | What's a Good Outfielder's Glove? Looking to pickup a glove for outfield use. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would like it to be soft (easy to break-in) and light (in its weight). Thanks for your input. |
May 25, 2010 stattad Men's 65 235 posts | I would say to get a 14-incher. It really helps with dives or stretches. I like the Rawlings "Gold Glove Co." models. |
May 25, 2010 DoubleL10 Men's 70 907 posts | Check out the gloves on this site: http://www.rawlingsgear.com/. You can find the Gold Glove models there. |
May 25, 2010 Enviro-Vac Men's 65 489 posts | If your looking for a fast break in & a glove that turns out soft try Nokona, Kangaroo hide: http://www.softballfans.com/shop/product.php?productid=2212&cat=31&page=1 For better quality but longer break in and custom made glove to your Specs. try: http://www.rodriguezgloves.com/store/gloves/ |

May 25, 2010 hitman Men's 70 339 posts | I have a 15" VINCI PRO for $140 shipped. It's as big as they get and still legal. About half broken in but never used in a game, A monster size glove. |
May 25, 2010 hitman Men's 70 339 posts | Sorry meant to put $135 Shipped. Model number is BV100. |
May 25, 2010 Dbax Men's 65 2101 posts | Isn't 15 inch illegal except for a first basemans glove? |
May 25, 2010 ffdonnie Men's 60 137 posts | The Nokona is nice but gets real floppy when it is well broke in. Went back to a Rawlings, 13.5" Trap-eze, what a great glove. I have much more confidence now. Get the Gold Glove model, breaks in fast and save a little $ too. |
May 25, 2010 ffdonnie Men's 60 137 posts | Actually the Heart of the Hide model breaks in faster, a little nicer leather. |

May 25, 2010 pushin60 Men's 60 61 posts | I bought an Akadema for about $70 and planned to break it in slowly. When my Rawlings broke I was forced to use it and have been real happy. It's a little heavy, but you get used to it and it was a lot cheaper. |
