SSUSA What is the REAL Problem?
You closed my Thread why? Somebody felt it was unworthy? Maybe someone's feeler's were hurt? Or is there another reason I am not aware of? I posed my Thread after alot of thought, I put it out there for our fellow members of our softball community to respond to. To lay-out a question which this great country of ours fought and died for( not to be overly dramatic). I took a neutral position. . Now you arbitrarlly censored the Thread.I am shocked and dismayed. I absolutley support SSUSA, I feel you are a fine organization most worhty to be a part of. In reviewing the post that I started, I found that based on the response that the post received. It was noticebly tamer than what Gale received (for example), to her post!I agreed with the majority of the posts opposed to her, but give her credit she took it standing tall! I am not one to stir up controversy. I respectfully request your thinking on the closure of my Thread. I read your explanation. If that is what you stand by, than please advise what subjects we are allowed to discuss. Again I believe you are entitled to monitor your privately owned company message board, as I do mine. I have made the stand to Be who I am, and stand by Patrick Henrys quote "to BE Or Not TO Be".The question is who am I to BE under your domain?

TOMAR77,you are right in your posting of this i think.we should be able to post regardless if we do/don't reveal our personal info.all others boards i'm on do not require such info to be avail for public view, but the prol is some feel they have the right to ridicule, say slanderous remarks and such.

now a days it is so easy to have your name used for fake ID's by scammers and such, why do we need to make it easier.

i read all posts as if they are by someone i don't know(which is the case a lot of times).do i care,no,i just look at content of what they say.
so keep posting and hopefully the crap will stop.

Tomar.
I don't know how long you been posting
but historically we wanted Dave
and SSUSA to take a stand regarding
posts and posters and they have moved
steadily in that direction
to the betterment of our community.
They reserve the right to chop, delete
or ban anyone or anything that doesn't
support a positive relationship with the senior softball community.
We need that moral/regulatory voice
in our community else will devolve
to chaos and dysfunction.

I think SSUSA cut the thread at first sign of defamation and or derogatory remarks before they could escalate.

Tom,

I do not go on the message board too much anymore, so I do not recall what you wrote or the subject matter. I will say from knowing you over the years, that whatever you wrote, it was honest and correct. Your character is always of the highest, so do not let one deletion bother you. See you this weekend Tom at Camp Pendleton.

You question(s) and suggestions are spot on.

Personally I don't care if you have put your "real name" to your bio... I choose what I read.. so let everyone post there ideas and opinions as reasonable men and women would... I don't care for removing Post's just because someone wants to use it for a personal attack on someone... just remove the offending comments from that person and leave the posting stand... Ohterwise all someone has to do is call someone a jerk or whatever and now they have the power to have that posting pulled...

Tomar, by now you have probably received an explanation from SSUSA. As I responded on your earlier thread, I liked your defense of the privilege of anonymity, but there is one frequent poster (and the only one so far) who disagrees with anonymity and often resorts to name calling and insulting anonymous posters. I think SSUSA closed the thread by reiterating their policy that anonymity is respected and should not be demeaned per se. They evidently felt there wasn't anything more to say on the subject.

jolly52,i like your post,if a person can't stay on subject they don't need to post,if you resort to the name calling one has done, maybe it's a time out for that poster,if they continue than do not allow them to post what so ever.ask dirty if a poster can be blocked from here, sorry had to use someone for my point.

Thank you, to those of you who responded to this thread. I was caught off guard by the removal of my previous thread wasn,t sure of the thinking,(although I had an idea). I have received an answer from SSUSA, which I now understand why they made their decision. As I have stated before I support SSUSA's fairness in monitoring this Board.
Andy, are you giving us 10 Runs?! See you at the Camp.

Hey Tommy,

Look forward to seeing you and your lovely wife this weekend. In our division, there is a 55AA(your team), my team(60 Major), another 60 Major team, and a 50 AAA team. Sounds like everyone is getting runs and/or an extra fielder. It should be fun and a good time. Our team is having a BBQ after our last game at the beach. Looking forward to relaxing there. See you soon my friend.
