It seems to me that the Chicago teams win a lot of AA and AAA world tournaments but I don't see very many Major or Major + teams from Chicago winning or even playing in World Tournaments. Why not? Also how was the Chicago 55 AAA team allowed to pick up a player who made the all world team for a 50 major team at Plano in June and who also played for a 55 AAA team in two SPA qualifiers? I thought you could only pick up players from the next age group up not the same age group. The 55 Chicage team won the AAA easily and would have won it without the illegal player. Just another example of not going by the rules. It amazes me to see a group of players playing for 4 or 5 different teams in different world tournaments. We are losing the integrity of the game.

That's great I hope they play major+ next year. They will be the first Chicago major + team I have seen. My point is a city as big as Chicago should have teams in every division. My point is TD need to look at players and what teams tey have played for. Do you think the Chicago 55 should have been able to pick up a 55 who played for a 50 major team and a 55 AAA team during the year? Is it fair to the teams that played fair and went by the rules. Even if the TD said it is okay it is still against the rules.

The crazy thing about the 55 AAA Chicago being able to pick up a major player from same age group was they won the 55 AAA world in Plano last year & was rated Major. I agree they should be able to play AAA being able to add this player was wrong, why do we have rules?

I was told by a chicago player that they have a pool of up to 150 players with a waiting list a mile long. They mix and match to confuse the rating system and keep retooling the 50's as the guys on the list reach legal age. We played a Team in Plano that had some new faces in the championship game of the winners bracket. When our scorer asked for their last names their coach had to ask. What good did the wrist bands we had to wear the whole tourney do. Not saying they cheated, it just seemed a little strange. Didn't matter anyway Brickyard went undefeated and won AA fair and square. Good Job BRICKYARD, Indpls. IN

That is why players should be rated. No player should be allowed to win more that one world tournament in th AA or AAA division of each age group/ Once you wing a world title in AA or AAA of your age group you should have to play the next higher division until you get to the next age group. Directors need to move more teams up and less teams down and make them play the whole year.

exactly, i agree 100%.
Rate the player first and then use the players on a team to rate the team itself.
Win a ring in any division below Major Plus and play up at least 1 whole year at the next highest level.
That would require some work from these TD'S, but hey when you bring in 300 teams to 1 event alone not to mention all the Qualifiers and all these other so called winter and spring nationals and blah, blah, blah nationals.
You would think they could spend some time and effort to get this done.
I will start by volunteering to be a major plus player for the rest of my life so put me in the book until you hear something different from me.
Thanks

I play on a team that hasn't won a tournment this year, so I am not defensive about this issue. However, picking up one player from a higher level does not make you into a tournament champ. Howver, if you pick up five players or change your name from one year to the next (or the same year), then I see more of an issue. My team has what I consider at least two players that could play Major + but our team has yet to make a dent in a Major standing. These guys play with us in leagues during the year, but in the past they have played Major +. The point is, if a decision is made to rate a team it should be on performance first and if adding players to fill out a squad to go to a tournament, establish how many players added from a higher level before bumping the whole team up. A lot of us know who should be Major + and who should be Major; etc. I think changing the team name is more of a problem than picking up one or two individuals.

The Guy played with the Storm and we met in Indy at the Brickyard classic. As a matter of fact he didnt have much use for any Chicago classic Team. If its not true why do they have chicago red, white, blue, grey, orange and probably pink. In Indy we cant get 4 good teams. name them IF U CAN. And the only Pain your King of is in the Ass of all the teams that try to play fair. The player everyone is moanin about is from Indy and i told him i was ashamed to see him in a classic uniform. Another player from the Indy Legends was asked to go to AZ with a Classic team. USE THE PLAYERS IN CHi. town you have a bigger pool to choose from. oh and by the way GET A LIFE. Softball at our age is supposed to be fun not win at all cost. My own brother moved to chicago and i dont like him anymore either.

CORKY,
IF YOU WERE SO WORRIED ABOUT THIS GUY WHO PLAYED WITH THE STORM,WHOM YOU DON'T NAME, WHICH I THINK IS CHICKENSHIT ON YOUR PART, WHY DIDN'T YOU GO TO RIDGE HOOKS AND TELL HIM THAT GUY WAS ILLEGAL?? MAYBE IF YOU PROTESTED THEIR ROSTER THEN IT MIGHT STOP OTHER TEAMS FROM CHEATING,AS YOU CLAIM? MAYBE YOU ARE JUST PLAIN JEALOUS OF THE FACT YOU CAN'T BEAT THE CHICAGO TEAMS!!! SO WHINE ABOUT THEM...AND I GOT NEWS FOR YOU PAL, NOT ALL TEAMS NEED TO CHEAT TO WIN!! AS FAR AS GETTING A LIKE, WELL, I HAVE A GREAT ONE ALONG WITH 5 TITLES IN 4 YEARS, 2 NATIONAL, 1 WORLD, AND 2 EASTERN TITLES..CAN YOU DIG THAT???? WHAT YOU HAVE, 1 AA ?? WOW. ...THATS GREAT! AND I WON'T GET INTO IT WITH YOU AS FAR AS COMPARING CHICAGO TO INDY, THATS LIKE COMPARING APPLES TO ORANGES!!!

Hey guy's ease-up the bottom line is the defending camps after getting re-classified from Major back to AAA should not be able to add a major player from same age group. The rules should be followed by everyone & TD should not have approved this.

My bad on spelling, should be defending champs. In the 55AAA I have played a lot of games against teams from Chicago & Indy. All teams from both city's play very hard and with CLASS.Rules are rules does not matter what city you are from or how many teams you have.

I was told by a Chicago player they just switch colors if one wins.
You will see Chicago teams win about every other year at the SPA . If they go to Major they just switch org. and set out of the other for one year then come back with a new color ar AAA.
