Mad dog, any chance they will have a 40 division. Sorry AC Legends(60) don't have room for another association to play in, SPA and SSUSA will keep us busy.

Mad Dog, I believe that NSA State Championship will be Conroe, TX. I don't know if the NSA Nationals will be played in Texas. We may play in a NSA qualifier later this year, but we have committed to play in mostly SSUSA Tournaments. We will be playing in Austin on April 16th at Krieg Field, there is a one (1) day tournament hosted by Chris Villareal & co.

Dog: Isn't NSA the worse Nationals to play in? Boaz's fields are good but Gadsden is the pits. It has dwindled down to a small number of teams. I could understand cutting back on expenses and skipping NSA.

The fields in Gadsden are old, but are generally in pretty good shape and they do a good job of prepping them.

We have had very limited success in finding good places to stay in Gadsden.

The turnout generally is fairly limited, mostly teams from the southeast. In past years, NSA has not allowed senior bats at this tournament; I don't know if that will still be true this year.

mad dog- i left dallas to play with with a 65 major plus team at 6:00am, as i was getting to the mcmaster park in georgetown, 3 -4 teams decided not to play due to rain, 30-35 mph winds and what felt like 25 deg . we had a 1 hr delay to start, but by noon the clouds were gone, the winds stayed the same, temp may have peaked at 55 deg. and the fields dried pretty fast. we ended up playing against the 50's group , not sure of the ratings, but we had fun. we ended up 1 and 3, the young guys were just too fast, great arms and pretty good power. giving up 15 to 20 yrs in age is tough. BUT we just couldnt see driving 200 miles to give up, a couple of the boys drove down from oklahoma. frank a.

mad dog, To answer your question, yes, Frankie played with us and did a great job for us! We had a good time (once we thawed out) and the weather turned out to be decent. The wind did blow all day but it was not terrible. We played Romo's Old School 50s and Austin Rock 50s. I know Rock is rated Major. The 15-year spot was just too much with the speed and arm differential. We hit the ball pretty well but had to run down a lot of shots in the outfield. We will be going back in April and, hopefully, play some 60s teams.
