What if bat?
So what if there is bat, not composite, not alloy but a new material category. What if this bat was made 100% in the USA and not only outhit any senior bat on the field and came with a full year warranty. What if this bat was impossible to shave or roll because it has no traditional end cap and is solid thought-out.
What if this bat was ready this summer……

garyaz, we do not really need a hotter bat. The current BAT/ball combo being used will send a ball out of the park. The tournament in Georgetown Tx this past week proved again 65 plus players can bang balls out of the park.

If you have any connection with this "WhatIfBat" please tell them to cancel the HOTTER THAN HOTTEST part.
I did not see any Ultra II break this weekend.
I did not see a Reebok bat that hit any out of the park, but, the Ultra II hit balls out.
DISCLAIMER is I did not watch all games, my use of the reebok did produce a good line drive though. If used more better results might occur.

every new senior bat that comes out it the best ever! but alas, they all are about the same. the warranty would be good but i'm not buying it outhitting any senior bat on the field.

Out hit in terms of lasting much longer than any bat. Hitting performance will not be a concern.

Fools day was 2 days ago...

Might be nice if someone came out with "something" the gave players their monies worth, that being DURABILITY & PERFORMANCE & a WARRANTY...

Wouldn't it have beed easier just to say the bat(s)names instead of all the BS (maybe).
We have read about them on here & all makers have new modles each year, some thith changes that go both ways, for better or worse.
Only time will tell when the feedback come in.
It woukld be nice to get a home grown bat back in the game.

taits: You're correct. The bat is the new generation of GBA Veteran and Spirit. There will be one in Vegas at the end of the month. By then it should be a buzz. The bat will be awesome. No end cap. Will look like a wooden baseball bat. It will be solid construction. Don't ask as I have already done so. Its a trade secret like MacDonalds Secret sauce. They said even if cut open you couldn't tell how it was done. These will be made in the USA and have a 1 year warranty. The prototype was tested this last week and passed with flying colors. Production will start soon. Nearly $100.000 have been spent on R&D so far. I'm hoping to have one May 14 -15 in Temecula. More info on our site as we get it. www.socalssa.com If this is what they say it is it will totally change the way we look at Senior Bats in the future.

i personally think all senior bats perform just about the same, just depends on the guy swinging, and what he likes.

Mad Dog, I play with the 65 Greyhounds. Probably saw you play as I watched the Spurs play.
You are probably correct that most bats are close to equal, the variable is the operator.
Have a great season.

This is very interesting...according to your website the bat is going to be available in the summer. According to the latest e-mail that I received from Mr. Gateley (3/16) he said that it suppose to be ready in 2-3 weeks. Which is it? I have been waiting now for over 6 months. Stay away from this company...perhaps they will make a good bat and make a profit but for now I would not pre order any of their bats. My 2 centavos.

Paco13: Officially summer starts in June in the US. For us in So.California summer starts when its 90 degrees. Which means it started last week! If Bill G. told you 2 to 3 weeks go by that as he writes the checks. :O)

Paco13,
If there is a delay it because GSC has moved to their own factory (USA). You should call Bill and make sure you are on the list if you are waiting for a replacement bat.
I don't know of anyone that has any issue with GSC but I do know the China bats caused a great deal of headache.

Anybody watch golf? Play golf? I still don't know how its done but you may want to read about Carbon Forging on the internet. Callaway Golf is using it on their new $400 driver head and says its stronger than titanium. Lamborghini is using it to make car parts and yesterday I saw on the NHRA Drag Races a Fuel Funny car with carbon fiber rear wheels with 16" Goodyear's attached to them. As I said I still have no idea how its done but my guess is this may have something to do with it.

These CORE bats ( ASA, USSSA, Senior and Baseball ) have unique qualities that separate performance and durability concerns from the current antiquated manufacturing process. Our goal is to show the softball/baseball market that once again it is the USA taking the lead and replacing 20 year old technology with something that will work better, cleaner and longer. Our bats are greener, smarter and more advanced in every way.
CORE bats cannot be rolled, shaved or altered in any way and with their unique performance it will not be needed.
