I read the product description and I hope it lives up to its 'hype'. Otherwise I think the consequence will be worse down the road.
There will be those who get one try to roll it and who knows even come up with a way to shave it.
As they say where there is a will there will no doubt be a way to alter it.

Why do you keep pushing this bat? Customer service is the worst EVER! You know we've had this conservation before! The bat is "GARBAGE" and I'm very surprise that you continue to push it! The Gates people have taken our money and NOT provided the SERVICE or PRODUCT that they say they have! I've been hearing this for over a year now! They just take your money and quietly go away leaving Marv to hear all the bitching, & all Marv can do is say, "We have a new model coming out that supposed to correct all the past issues"! except return all the money that they;ve already taken!
DON"T BUY THIS BAT!!!!

RJ: I know first hand Mac gave you a bat at one of our last tournaments in Hemet to make up for all the trouble you had. I was the one that arranged it. I said to you personally as you were leaving "Are we good now?" And you said to me "yes we are" So why do you want to cause trouble on the message board? My question is are you a man of your word? Just what part of "Yes, I'm good now" is incorrect and why do I hear it now months later on a public forum? Second: You simply can't call anything junk that does not exist. The bat isn't due for release until July so you can't have anything but a picture. If you want to hold it and feel it contact Mac in Vegas he is suppose to have a demo there. You and I know, as well as the rest of the world, that Bill had some serious issues with the Chinese manufacturer. The main reason for having the bat made here in the USA. I think he has bent over backwards to take care of the people that fell victim to crappy manufacturing. You included. I think this is really unfair and uncalled for.

The graphics looks awesome. This is my issue with the entire thing. The original bat did not last...however Bill offer a nice promotion a 2nd bat for $99.00. which I took advantage of...when my original one cracked he told me that he will replace it...so then when the 2 piece bat came out I should have received two but only got one. Bill answer all the e-mails and sound like a very honorable man...but why not come out and say that the new bat was going to take 6-8 months to be ready and give people the option for a refund. I requested a refund and it was denied...I needed a new senior bat, so already purchased one (Red maxload UII...the hottest thing out). I will wait for the new super bat, but the truth if known should ve been told and give the option of a refund. Personally I like the GBA...Good luck and hope that he does very well...and he will if this bat is as advertise.

Paco13: If you have ever been involved in manufacturing you'd know trying to estimate a time line on a new and unique product of this magnitude would be difficult. Personally I don't fault Bill for underestimating the time line one bit. Certification testing alone took way longer than the original estimate mainly because no one has ever seen this technology used for a bat. Its just out of the box and so innovative. However field testing so far tells me it will be worth the wait. I have no affiliation with Bill other than we are selling the product. But as you can see other Chinese bats are seeing major flaws and inconsistencies in construction. When a factory tells you that 25% return rate is the norm its time to move back to the States. Bill received little to no compensation for their errors. I can say Ive seen it first hand how unscrupulousness this factory is in the way they do business. You would also be amazed at the labels they turn out. I wont say it here as to start a war on the board but they also make some very popular brands mentioned here a lot. As summer nears I think you will see a lot of negative info on Chinese bats. This is because of the lack of principles, the lack of skilled labor and the dishonest approach the Chinese company practices. This I'm sure is why one of the major companies in this business pulled their manufacturing last year back to the states. Senior bats made the traditional hollow core way require very skilled labor and material. When you turn your back and have no rep there every day God only knows what short cuts they will make. Its like us guys here in So Cal in the 60s taking a car to T.J. to have it upolsterd. You had to stay with the car or they would fill the tuck and roll with what ever was laying around.

I have the heard the same comments about customer service, not responsive. One of my players bought a veterans bat in Phoenix, he used it for three (3) months and it cracked. He was told that the company would replace the bat, he is still waiting on the replacement bat.

Capt Kirk: You do realize the bat your talking about only had a 30 day warranty right? 30 days is more than Miken will give you. I know Bill replaced some out of warranty on a case by case basis. (see R.J. above) But if he was told it would be replaced I'd follow up on it. Could be he had no bats left to replace it with. They have been out of Vets since January or February. The last small shipment that came in went mostly to those guys that had problems on a first in first out basis. And as I explained this came out of his pocket. The factory did not have his back.

I don’t have an issue with you…You & I are GOOD! My beef is with Mr.Gately’s his poor customer service and his bad product. I purchased 2 senior bats from him both with a 30 day warranty. They both cracked well under 30 days, & well under 60 swings, he sent me another and it cracked the same day it arrive! Since that time Mr. Gatley has NOT responded to any emails or phones calls! I brought it your attention and that’s when Mac gave me the ASA Spirit, just to shut me up! What you don’t understand is, I did business with Mr. Gates, not Mac! I’m still out of $200.00 This ASA bat is OK but it’s not what I paid for or what I would have purchase on the open market, it’s very stiff, not the correct weight I swing and I think if, it ever breaks in, it’ll crack! You say I’m causing trouble, I’m just letting our softball community aware of an inferior product, bad customer service and saying not to buy it! (I think I have that right)
Send me $200.00 & I’ll go away? Until then, I will continue to bad month this product!
You or the Gates Company have not proven that you have a good product , but you continue to push this crap!

Ron we don't have your number. Possibly because you looked me in the eye and said the situation was taken care of when Steve gave you a bat. I worked very hard to take care of you in January because you were so unhappy. I had no horse in the race other than to take care of a problem of a player we know and a factory we are working with. When a guy looks you in the eye and says "I'm good and thank you" that is all I needed for my efforts. It was put to bed. That was in January. Now at the end of April you're unhappy! You aren't my X wife's parallel personality are you? :O) Post your phone number and I'll have Steve call you. Steve is working with Bill as a player liaison. This falls within his capacity.

It sadden me that you would bring ex-wife comments to the forum; you make me feel like, I’ve paid my child support & now you’re asking for more! Yes, I looked you in the EYE and said we are good, I also LOOKED you in the EYE and said me and the Gates company are not! You tell me, am I supposed to just let $200.00 go? You keep bring up how GREAT this bat is! I’m just saying the opposite. But you seem to have issues with it…you’re a funny man!! Steve has my # you all have my email address!

Thank you! Just got an assurance from Mr.Gately that I would receive a new GBA when the new shipment comes out in 60-90 days. That's all I was asking for! Marv, "now I am Good"... I will also say how the new product performs "pros & cons" when I receive it.
