Guys-there are only 6 people working in the SSUSA office-and with Reno-Dave is probably totally overwhelmed and posting becomes a lower priority. I know last year he was there 2 weeks straight running the tournament.

I am going to chime in on this discussion. It is 2011 and there are many computer geeks out there. When I participate in tournaments there are several people sitting around who could be entering scores. I inquired at Lansing last year and the tournament director told me that only certain people can enter scores. This is just not acceptable. Teach someone at each site how to access the site and get the scores and brackets updated. I know that Dave busts his ass and he is a good guy. Get him some help!!!

I coach high school baseball and I am able to update 18 players stats immediately after each game, call in the results to the local paper, submit umpire vouchers, file reports with the Varsity coach and still have plenty of time to relax. I am not a computer geek but I have my kids set up text trees and I can have messages out about practice, games or other issues in seconds. Please use the technology that is available to us.

Loudoun County dates were May 17-21. The office found enough time to finish the preliminary field assignments for Phoenix in October and sent out a post for this on May 25th. Is that more important than the results from Loudoun? There's plenty of time for field assignments. There gonna change anyway.

Sure Dave is a great guy and works hard, but in this day and age, waiting for paperwork (?) is unacceptable. Excuses are many, but results are what's required. With todays technology these kinds of things should be a non issue.

Suggestion... Make better use of todays technology and allow more people access to help you guys out in the office.

Players shouldn't be the ones reporting results, but they often do and thank you to those who take the time and effort to do so.

There also always seems to be enough questions around the same subject, so obviously it's an issue. A complacent attitude doesn't improve things, but and attitude of continuous improvement does. Work on it folks.

Al33,
No disrespect to you.......but I think maybe you haven't put on a tournament before, or at least a big tournament.I have ! There's is a hell of a lot more important things going on in the tournamnet that none of us back home know about that is so much more impportant than someone taking the time out to post the scores........., What's the big deal about the scores, if they are that important to you, go play in them,

I know the guys running SSUSA put in mega hours during the season to get the tournaments run. There are just sometimes the demands of it are a little too much to get everything. Dave puts in some 16 hour days on some of these. Ripdog, A133,instead of ripping him up for not posting the scores, why not pitch in right here on the message board. For every tournament, have a thread for guys to post results. You can arrange to have players post their scores here and one of you compile the results. It probably wouldn't take more than a few minutes a couple of times a day. Guys playing in the tournaments could volunteer ahead of time, maybe one per team to post their scores. With the technology today, I bet Dave could provide you a bracket posted that you can fill in and keep up to date as it happens. One that would be interactive. It's easy to cut something down. Let's be constructive and come up with a solution.

To be honest I was just glad to get back home from Reno. I went even though our team decided not to go. To much cost to change tickets. I walked out of Harrahs Sat and walked into rain and snow. Wow I bet a few bats were broken Webbie. It made me think that I was glad to live in Phoenix and met 80 degree weather when I got off plane. I really enjoy the chance to play ball at this age and am thankful for what some of you do to make this occur. My wish is that Arizona could be used more with our warm temps and many mountain areas to host tournaments not just a World. A TOC event would be nice even one like we used to have in Tucson. We will be playing in Rick Siefmans SSUSA tournament in Flagstaff AZ. this weekend. 70 75 degrees and I hope no snow. HA. Bless all of you for still being able to play this game of Softball. I saw some teams at Harrahs and they sure were bundled up to play. I understand DD team out of PHX finished 2nd in 55 Major plus.

Hey-GI-my favorite pitcher :-) Always enjoy playing you guys. Thanks for the update-heard it was winter-not sorry to miss that, but sorry to miss the tournament because it was so much fun last year. I'm not sure we knew about Flagstaff-how did we miss that?
We always enjoy Phoenix, but please no tourneys when it is 120 degrees-just a tad too hot for me!!! Picky, aren't we. If it is not between 70 and 99 degrees we complain!!
Take care, my friend.

Webbie kind of glad you guys weren't in Reno. You beat the hell out of us last year. Maybe your absence was the reason we won. ODB 55AAA

Fastsam-I doubt that. Congratulations on your big win! AAA is so even that it comes down to several teams that could win it and the breaks and who gets hot at the right time. We missed coming up, but from what I hear, we didn't miss the weather! See you soon.

Thanks Webbie, It was a very even and tough bracket. We had one call go our way that opened the door for us to get in the championship round. Snow and sleet on Sat and Sun. Monday was a good day to play. Comming from the bay area the weather was something we never had to deal with. Take care and be safe out there.
