The SPA website is still showing the 2005 tournament dates.

Dan, we just got a schedule from the SPA. It says the one that you and we are interested in is August 10 - 13 in Plano (of course) for their nationals. Dates are July 14 - 16 for Major and Major Plus 50, 55, 60, and 65. August 10 - 13 for 50 and 55 AA and AAA, August 24 - 27 for 60 and 65 AA and AAA, and September 7 - 10 for all 70, 75, and 80. It shows April 7 - 9 for the women's spring nationals but no other listing for the women's nationals. It is in North Charleston. It shows South Bend as June 2 - 4. The Columbus tournament is shown as June 9 - 11. It also says that SPA is moving to OKC, and the new website will be www.spasoftball.com starting December 19. Maybe the next (2007) nationals will be in OKC, please? I look forward to seeing you in Indy in May if not before. Let me know if I can be of any assistance to you.

That's an interesting set of dates. SPA must be droppng their "divisional" championships, because the dates for their 2006 nationals are about when those were usually played. You'll enjoy our spring-like weather in August.

Nancy, was there any elaboration on the move to OKC? Change of ownership?

TT, the letter says that it was to be closer to their family, especially grandchildren. I thought the dates might be driven by the announcement of SSWC's dates to try to not lose some teams, but that is only my guess. You are right that no regional is listed at least yet.
