Eastern Nationals at Raleigh N.C.
We just got back from the Raleigh tournament and had a great time. It was well run including the re-scheduling of over 50 games on Saturday. The rain was non stop for about 6 hours. The Raleigh airport got 4.5.inches of rain. We went to 5 inning games on Sat to get everything in and completed the tourney on Sunday with 7 inning games. Good job by the staff to get everything in. Thanks Harry #20 NV FORCE

Great venue without a doubt the best fields that I have played in...very soft infield...nice. Great tourney. My only problem was having to play 3rd brackett game when the seeding was done already..wasted time when there was no time to waste...but overall a great weekend. Played against three other great 50 AAA teams...wonderful guys. Who won between Eagle Tile and the A's. Good luck this weekend at Manasas...wish that I could be there, but our coach put us in as AA and few of us are not going. I wanted another chance at revenge. Manasas is going to be awesome some of the best teams on the east coast are going to be there, but us. Let me stop before I say something stupid.

I'd like to add that it was a very well run tournament. After seeing the rain pour down most of Saturday morning, I was amazed at the fact that we played at 12:30... Really a terrific job by all those involved. To Paco13... not only why, but HOW does Blackie get you guys rated AA by any of the groups? You guys are good!

WWWWWOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW

You play with a good AAA team that gets to play AA in Manasas!!!!!!!

Your coach put you in as AA ?????

And you get on this board and admit it !!!!

The legit 50 AA teams in Manasa should be honored to play such a fine group of fellow senior softball players.

Just sayin

Perly, Not sure how to take your comment. First of all if you trying to insunuate that I am degrading the AA teams you are wrong. Personally I know few of the AA teams and I know for fact that any of them can beat any AAA team entered on this tourney. Actually two of the AA play on our same league and they beat us and we beat them...my point is and I am speaking for me not the team...I believe that we are very good AAA team, but we can only get better by playing better competition. If we get a beat down...so let be, but at least we competed. We have entered two AAA tourneys and won one of them against almost the same competition that will be at Manasas...we got hot at the right time...that is all what it takes to win any tourney. ANY GIVEN SUNDAY. PR NINJA OUT.

first off, I applaud Paco13 for standing up and not playing. There's a few times that are classified incorrectly this coming weekend, but what the heck, anything can happen once you get on the field. He's right, you only get better by playing better competition. I manage a true AA team and we've played up for the past few years, it's now paying off and we'e starting to win some games and can compete with anyone.

My point is simple.

Your either rated Major +, Major, AAA or AA. Playing AAA one weekend and AA the next clouds the whole rating system. If we can play where we want to then do away with the rating system all together.

I didn't mean to imply you were "degrading the AA teams." I was saying you should be either AAA or AA and not have a choice where you play.

I don't know all the particulars but from what was posted sounds like "Blackie" has pulled some strings. The fact that you didn't want your name or team name posted also implies something shady.

Birdie,
How did you guys end up?
We were runner-ups to South Florida heat.
Man what a job the ground crew did to those fields after 4-6 inches of rain by Saturday night at dark I think everything was caught up. Didn't really like the 5 inning games but we all played them so it was as fair as could be.

Pricer, that is exactly my point. We can never get better as a team if one weekend we play AAA win and on the next tourney we play AA and lose, then play AAA...do very well and then go back to AA. from my assessment and knowing the squad that we have, there is no doubt on my mind that we are a legit AAA team...I joke that nobody knows me...most everybody does and they also know my team...it was joke. Remeber ISSA at least on the East coast is joke...if you pay you play...we already qualified for SSUSA TOC as a 50AAA team. I am done with it, as I told my coach I am not spending my money to play AA.

Double33, nobody is doing that, if U find out let me know and I personally will deal with him. STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS.

To me all this rating of teams should be some how coordinated between the 3 different Associations. There are some differences among the organizations that cause the problems. When one team is rank lower in on assoc.and higher in another you are going to have problems.Every team see itself on one level. I think there are a lot of teams that always think that they are rated too high. Thanks Harry

No 50 Major-plus teams in the Eastern Nationals ... 2 50 Major-plus teams in the Western Nationals. This is enough teams to warrant a division of their own?
