Which bat is best?
I'm looking for a new bat. Which bat is best for both durability and power--the Freak Plus or the Ultra II?

The Freak Plus and Ultra II are in different classes, imo. I have both plus a 585 and original Freak. I use the Ultra II when I can, in SSUSA tournaments, the Freak Plus and 585 in SPA and NSA tournaments and the Freak in ASA tournaments. If you only want one bat and play several associations, then go with the Freak Plus. You still won't have a bat for ASA though. If all that you play is WSA or SSUSA, then the UII should be your choice.

I have a flex return and it hits much better then what people review. You have to exercise a little to hit further. Last Sat. I hit one 365' with my flex and I'm 57at 180pounds. Just starting working out on my hitting. Not watching tv with a can in my hand. It's not all bat. It's mechanics, timing and exercise. Hitting 375 Dudley Heats at 65degrees.

I think SPA has accepted the ULtra II this year, too.

Stever-You are correct; the Ultra II is legal in SPA for a one-year trial then will be re-evaluated. Also, OK in the LVSSA.

Have you tried the Mayhem (green) or the yellow Louisville Catalyst. I was told both can be used in Senior Softball SSWC and SSUSA. They both have plenty of pop. On a par w/ all but U11. But, they are not ASA approved. For ASA you would have to go with the Mayhem (Orange) and Catalyst (green).
