Reebok bats on Amazon.com
Has anyone gone to Amazon.com and clicked on sporting goods and then Reebok bats?
They show all models and weights and the prices start at $159.75. I don't know if
these are the first edition models or not but the price is very good and there is
no shipping charge. A guy told me about it at a tournament last weekend and I was
just wondering if anyone has heard about this.

Just checked this out. The red Melee 26 oz is $126, and none of the red ones are over $159. 29 oz is $146 before tax. Yellow are a little more spendy.

If you remember it was just around a year ago that Player Reps announced to the world that they had exclusive rights to market & sell Reebok Senior bats. My marketing background said this would be true if this was Acme Bat co. I have seen this scenario many times in automotive. The little guy dealer does all the work creating a demand for a product then the rug is pulled for a bigger company with greater ability for volume. Senior bats are a big volume product just because of the present way they are manufactured. Thin walls and labor intensive. My suspicion is, Reebok thinks Amazon will greatly improve the volume and a company like Reebok needs the volume to justify the production time in China. Good luck to all the player reps. I know you guys worked hard through some tough times. Your reward is now Amazon. I don't know who the winners are, I guess time will tell. But at the price Amazon is charging for the same product it will be hard for any player rep to sell many at $199.

Wasnt there a thread on here about some KNock off Reebok bats? Could these be those bats hitting the market place?

What I find most interesting about this string is the lack of input from the Reebok Player reps. The lack of spin of any kind is very telling. I know I'm not Karnak but I predicted this would happen. Big companies will always look out for the bottom line regardless of who gets hurt. My next prediction will be Reebok will step up quotas on the plant in China and the quality will suffer as a result. Miken must be doing a Happy Dance all the way to the bank :O)

I just received my latest Anaconda catalog for 2012 and they have listed the Senior Softball Reebok Melee bats at $ 189.95 delivered.
I have been in the sporting goods business for 25 years and it comes down to one thing. MONEY.
Ed Andrews (Surf88) has been working hard representing the Reebok bats. Ed uses this as part of his income to live. I urge players to buy from their player reps as you know where there commission goes. It goes to feed their families, etc.

I recently bought one of these off of Amazon. It has to be a knockoff. It had the ding of a metal bat. Out of the wrapper it was terrible. Compared to my U2 it was probably 30-40 feet shorter on a well hit flyball. I returned it for a refund. I have never hit a Reebok legend but it just didn't hit or feel like a composite bat--hope this helps

I just received from Amazon a new Reebok 27oz. endload. It has the same
numbers on it as the one that I bought from a Reebok rep. I'm going to take a few
swings with it at batting practice this week to see if it has the same
feel and response. If I can save $40 on the exact same bat I will. I don't
know of too many guys who wouldn't.

I was in the market looking for a Reebok melee as another senior bat and a glove from Miken. I tried to get hold of both reps but after leaving messages on contact numbers given to me i never got a return call.

I bought a melee bat on amazon and paid $126 plus $12 shipping next day and hit with it on friday and today and it just out of the box hit as good as my ultra with 200 swings.

No ding or unusual sounds other than the sound of a well struck hit.

I hope Miken rep shows up this weekend in vegas so i can purchase a glove.

See ya this weekend in vegas.

Just checked Amazon and now their prices are now in line with others. Range from 193 to 199. So, good for the guys who managed to get the low price.

anyone know whether there will be a reebok cage/tent in vegas this weekend. have had great luck with a 27B(500 + a/b's) after cracking a pair of 26el's with less than half that total.
starting to get the U2 feeling..crushing balls then zap..zipper split.

FX: No tent or hitting cage there. It cost us $1,000 to ship our hitting tent to Phoenix. I can help you with Melee's, Vectors and whatever needs you may have.

Glad to see that the "mistake" was taking care of. Would hate to see the consumer get a break every now and then.

John, In Phoenix, we gave players lycra shirts or batting gloves with every bat purchase and we allowed any player to visit our hitting tent and swing their bats at will, including Miken and Combat bat owners.

It has been my goal and I expect is the same with other reps, to treat folks right and to give them every break possible, while at the same time, trying to make a reasonable living.

Thanks to all who visited me in Phoenix and to all who have elected to work with me and with all the Reebok reps.
