We have removed a couple of Message Board threads today as being in contravention of one of the (only) four posting rules we have to govern member comment on this Message Board. Whenever anyone logs in to post a message, either a new thread being started or a reply to an existing one, the following rules appear on the message post page:
About this message boardThis message board is provided as a means for senior softball players and prospective players to communicate with each other, offer ideas and constructive suggestions for improving our organization and sport. It is not a forum for any of the following:
- Inappropriate language
- Disparaging comments directed toward any individual
- Promotion for other senior softball organizations [Emphasis added]
- Advertising for commercial products, services or websites
Any messages of this type will be removed immediately, without notice....
The message threads removed today had as a general subject matter the (P)romotion for other senior softball organizations and, accordingly, were removed. Those topic threads should be posted in the future to the other association(s) Message Board(s) and/or Web site(s) as appropriate to the content. Thank you.
